As others have said, I'm also quite surprised by Lindsay's review. I mean, it doesn't bother me that she didn't care about CC's shady fan history, because that wasn't the focus of her review, but it does bother me that a.) she calls the book decent (which it really isn't, as the livejournal community Das Sporking can attest to), and b.) she seems to lump the blame on movie producers and not CC, despite the fact that CC was basically consulted on every tiny minutiae of the adaptation. And of top of that, the review was uncharacteristically dull. And I say this all as a fan of the NChick.
