Tbh, even if she really did just file off the serial numbers and let all but the most conspicuous instances of plagiarism through, which wouldn't surprise me, who would even notice? The only people who would have bothered to wade through that monstrosity of a fanfic, and remember such fine details, would probably not be interested in playing spot the difference for fear of besmirching dear Cassie's good name, and/or worse, make excuses for her if confronted (a la SRB & Mahoganygate, covered by FW recently). She is protected by a combination of white wash, purple prose & the rose tinted glasses that come free with all copies of her works.
