My parents bought me the first Monopoly computer game in order to get out of playing the board game with me. Dear God, no game lasts as long and causes as much angst as Monopoly. PARTICULARLY WHEN ONE OF YOUR OPPONENTS LIKES TO HIDE HIS CASH UNDER THE TABLE AND SURPRISE YOU BY RISING FROM THE ASHES OF DEFEAT. (I'm not still mad....)
