The Sinister Dr. Larimer ([info]phosfate) wrote in [info]fandom_wank,
Without spoiling anyone who hasn't read it...the structure was all over the highway. The "codas" went on for ever and ever. I hated the blogging bit. The main character had a ton of background that never really paid off in the story. The interaction with the Hollywood types rang totally false, and the redemptive arcs were cringeworthy and sentimental rather than moving or uplifting. It would have been better, funnier, and sharper at half the length and with more bite. It was like Galaxy Quest reworked by Nicholas Sparks.
