(I tried to reply from my email but I guess it got eaten.)
I did not! But I did talk about it to the particular friend that I was thinking about and was treated to a highly entertaining "OMG THAT BOOK MADE ME SO ANGRY" rant. XD She was expecting a novel where German soldiers fight alien dinosaurs while having to deal psychologically and practically with the knowledge and results of what they facilitated in WWII, and instead got... that.
She says that writing the book she was expecting to get is on her bucket list though.
