Every time I think I'm taking my OTP seriously, at least I can recognize they are fictional characters who have no possibility of hooking up and I am completely satisfied to explore the option in my own fanfics and RPs. I've never really gotten the idea behind the "SO THERE!" smug satisfaction of being canon. It's just not that big of a deal to me.

Fandom these days doesn't know how to draw the line between fiction and reality.
