Sigh, yeah, just went digging through some of the archives. Yeah, she's pretty dismissive about the whole thing and kinda condescending about that in particular.

Winjennster: You also had an anon saying they felt sorry for the posse members who had been taken in by Andy. Just to point out, I am not some young impressionable child. I'm pushing 40, and am very self confident and lacking the social anxiety so many on tumblr seem to have. I'm not easily taken in by anyone and I question everything. I also believe in second chances. And as I've said before, nothing in our one year friendship has led me to believe that Andy is anything but genuine.
1purp0se: We truly hope you’re right about Andy. None of these qualities, however, are proof against manipulation. I myself have personal experience of people older than you with just as much self-confidence being manipulated on a daily basis for years, and for a long time not even knowing it. It’s not just “young impressionable” children who are the victims of manipulators.
Like you, most people believe in second chances. Andy had his in the HP fandom. Now he’s on his third. The reason people are concerned is that this third go-round looks so very like the first two in so many ways.
As long as Andy chooses to be a high-profile figure in fandom and to take part in the organization of public, large-scale events that bear even the faintest similarity to anything related to his previous abusive behavior, people will have suspicions about him and those around him. We genuinely mean it when we say we hope these suspicions are groundless.
Unfortunately we don’t believe that they are.
