Victoria Bitter: The Embittering
Oh, how nice, someone's creating a little convention for the Supernatural fandom, and they're looking for staff members. Looks like the position of Event Director has already been filled, though, by one...

Andrew Blake. AKA thanfiction. AKA Victoria Bitter.

The event hasn't received much attention thus far, but everyone who's responded to the original post looks enthusiastic and willing to throw money at the idea.

Unsurprisingly, people from other corners of the fandom have begun to speak up, sharing stories of past exploits and linking to the book written by a previous VB/AB/TF victim.

Andy, aware of his reputation in fandom, has made several posts on his most recent Tumblr in the past few months, saying that the past is behind him and refuting the claims of people who are preemptively warning the SPN fandom about his exploits.

Only time will tell if he has really changed his ways, but all signs point to no.

One final note: misgendering is not cool. There are about 10 million reasons to mock Andrew Blake, but his gender identity is not one of them.

ETA: Now matured from "having just finished his 20s" to "30 with a lot of job experience", our hero has posted more details about the application process, explaining that everything might go wrong and that's just the way that cons work, and that pretty much all of the cool stuff mentioned thus far might be too expensive if they don't get enough participants. (thanks luxshine!)

It would be funny if it wasn't so bloody scary that he still has followers that eat up his every word.

Most of them young teenage females.

Who he's had a history of emotionally abusing if not sexually abusing.

I was just rereading some of the old wank posts, and saw a prediction from you that he'd land in SPN next. Props to you! (Most guessed Twilight.)

I did? Ahahah. Well, SPN has a bit more BNF'dom and a lot of radical niche sections and Destiel has become this big sacred cow to those who like it so it makes it a rather juicy target.

Yeaaah, given everything this really isn't funny. :/

The only time I read about sexual abuse was a refutation of the claim by someone who had stayed with Andy and his former partner.

What am I missing? Because if this is true, I want him off the Internet now.

He definitely uses sex as part of his arsenal of control techniques. Abbey mentions on her blog that he seduced both her and "Diamond" as different personas, and it was obviously as a power ploy. He also keeps trying to encourage teenagers to get married and have babies. Plus, in her journal, Diamond goes into how he kept badgering her to have sex (not with him specifically as far as I can tell, but just to have it), as if her never having had sex was this huge moral stain on her character and the only important thing about her.

He needs to be off the internet years ago.

Jesus Christ, I didn't think it could get worse.

I have to read Abbey's blog in doses because Andy's techniques are very familiar, so I only knew if the post from someone who had stayed with them and said there was nothing sexual.

Maybe we can find a way to throw him into one of those fictional universes he's from.

Oh it's getting worse.

I was reading Abbey's journal out of sheer horror a few days ago and Andy has his cell phone number posted so that troubled teenagers / young 20-somethings can talk directly to him when they're feeling down.

Because clearly a (supposedly recovering) mentally ill almost thirty year old man with a documented history of abuse is the perfect person to spill your troubles to.

Years ago when I was teen I was talking to a person like that. I'm not sure of his age, but he wanted to "help" teens with a "talkline" and wanted to meet 16-year-old me for coffee. When my friend found out he made me report him to actual mental health professionals.

Yeah, this is just very worrying in all aspects and gets unfunny quick. Not just money, but the cult-like manipulation and the potential abuse. Actually, money is probably the least of my concerns here.
