	You see, the way I read it, she's not even saying she should have shipped Harry/Hermione. She's saying the way she wrote the story leaned more that direction. On the other hand, I really do prefer Hermione and Ron. The amount of tropes subverted were awesome. (Also, I still can't see where anybody gets Harry and Hermione from. But, you know, whatever.) In the original article all JKR says is that she regrets putting Hermione and Ron together, *not* that Harry and Hermione should have gotten together, as literally every subsequent news article I've seen has extrapolated. I'd like to see the text of the full article to get some more context.

Personally, the part that was way more wish fulfilmenty and regrettable was the Digimon 02 style ending at the end of DH, but, y'know.

I've been out of Harry Potter fandom for years, but I guess it's good to know that the shipping wars will NEVER DIE!! HP fandom's greatest gift to the internet lives on!!

Other than that -um R/Hr always made total sense to me and I'm confused about why JKR now thinks they'd need couples therapy or whatever, lol. Um, on a literary/pop culture level, I found them to just be counterparts to Han/Leia and Darcy/Elizabeth. OMG now I want somebody to please write me a Han/Leia couples therapy fic!!! !!!

	Believe it or not, a link to it showed up on my Twitter feed and as soon as I read it I thought "Oh, man, the wank's gonna hit the fan any second now..." Harry/Ginny always felt more forced to me than Hermione/Ron did. I didn't see them as incompatible, just that the run up to it felt way too sudden.
