The thread in question is a reference to a weird translation about Makoto's scene in one of the Free! novels, and fencer-x made the character seem like he was trying to kill himself to get Haru's attention.

Which makes absolutely no sense because it'd be OOC for Makoto anyway. As someone who casually ships both MakoHaru AND RinHaru, people like this wanky pile of crap annoy me, and Free! fandom is pretty batshit as it is.
