I love The Class Menagerie. It very quickly became one of my favorite webcomics. I liked it enough that I was actually willing to brave the Keenspot forums due to my desire to converse with other fans about it.

Blackmail is the highest form of flattery! Unfortunately, after being chewed out, RyuuMajin went back and edited his original post. This is good, because it means you have to look at less Fanboy Japanese(1). However, the original contents of it were, effectively, 'Look! I did this for you! Now you need to do something for me! BUT ONLY IF YOU WANT TO, REALLY! I think it'd be great if you could pay my back for my hard work and effort! NOT LIKE I'M FORCING YOU! I'll just post this to a public forum, and make my request, in public, after making no attempts at private solicitation first."

Note also the un-subtle inclusion of the poster's own avatar into the colored shot.

ETA: (1) After looking through some more of this guy's stuff, and his work, I think that English might not be his first language, so I shouldn't rag on him for that. However, the wank still transcends the language barrier, I feel.

I really do wish I had a copy of his original post. It was a marvel to behold, really. There were even kowtowing animated gifs and other rash obsequious tidbits in a (vain) attempt to make it look like this wasn't some sort of attempt to wring a favor out of someone.

Cultural misunderstanding? Possible. Not likely. This goes against too many laws of universal common sense.

Actually, I just wildly browsed around but accidentally find some about "me" here. Yeah, you "have" right to discuss about me behind. I know I was looking like a jerkish Japanese fan boy. It's okay, you have a right to slap me conscious, to remind that Vince has a life, and I shouldn't bother him that way, that way I edited it, thx to you (or may be someone else). But believe me, may be I was too anthusiastic, and I just couldn't handle it. At least, Vince answering my post recently is thing I always wait, but it's sick, and luckily I'm not that maniac, although I still "stalk" for him. why? I am a fan... may be not too "huge" fan... okay, I'm his stalker!!! Satisfied?!

About culture, it's more to Javanese: If you want they to do something for you, you DO something for them first (unspoken ethics, actually). Now I know it doesn't work here, it's so wrong. I know that. That's why I stop hoping Vince drawing something for me. I'm not the one who has right to wait for the "payment". No, it's unethical.

I sent PM everyone who has warned me, thanking... and may be it's you too. I want to forget that too actually, but may be you don't allow me so. This should be a massive issue to behave. So, firstly thanks, secondly thanks, and third... you name it.

Oh yeah, about Sub Urban Jungle, I still don't use Gneech's character. I just feel the "fanfics-wannabe" would be working great with his characters but he doesn't respond, so I don't use it, since I know he might disagree and feeling irritated like you.

Depends on the opinion, myself don't think you and others like you are bad guys. You just do whatever you feel you should do. No matter what, I thought I have owned bad remarks from Vince and Gneech themselves (call me paranoid), thus you don't need to add more.

At least you know me more from this posting, at least I try to be polite and not to be Fan boy-alike. But may be some other time, unconsciously I would be, again. God knows.
