when RPers go psycho
So there's this celebrity roleplaying game, wherein the cardinal sin is exposing people's ooc identities.

But some people have vendettas and need to act like assholes make a dramatic exit.

The information revealed there probably won't make sense to you unless you're involved in the RP (and a lot of it is probably untrue anyway), but the wank in the comments is just getting going...

I seriously have no idea what's going on here, but this is a bit of a trainwreck of wank. o.o; At least the comments alone make it worthwhile for my poor plebian soul, thank you oh-great-anons! I keep thinking it's like, two or three sockpuppets running around, arguing with themselves, really, and that makes it funny.

Okay, I can't make sense of the original post. But the anon comments are...it's like a slapstick comedy routine, in some places. I can just see them all slapping each other and poking each other in the eye and falling after slipping on a banana peel.


But I'm disturbed by this. I recognize the second picture from the QAF comm I belong to, and I doubt the woman who posted it knows it's being used like that.

Okay, one of the cardinal rules is NEVER to reveal OOC journals. In fact, it's pretty much accepted that in group or even individual chats (where you must be absolutely IN CHARACTER) that you do not use the Deadly Bracket Talk (ooc comments).

What this is coming down to is players bring OOC issues into the game. How do I know? I've been in the game for a while now. It's a scary place, but incredibly wanky at the same time.

The HP fandom has nothing on MBP.

Oh I know. I'm in Gap of Rohan, and it's a lot friendlier. But apparently, this situation has been going on for a very long time.

It's not the first time that someone's done a "tell all" post, but this one has a certain flair about it.

I was dragged back because my favorite celebrity was available. I couldn't resist taking him.

I'll throw my lot in with the 'don't know what the hell that was all about but I still found the comments amusing' people.

I think my personal favourite was this thread. In amongst all the wank, two anons find lurve. It's a beautiful, beautiful thing. ;)

Okay, that is so weird. I stopped by here earlier and clicked on the link in Ipomoea's comment and got "This journal has been deleted". So I tried the links in the original post and got the same message, but now it's all there again.

i "borrowed" the journal of one of the co-owners of the community and deleted it, because all three of the people attacked in the entry are good friends of mine. when the original poster found out, he undeleted it.

1) I remember coming across the must_be_pop journal awhile ago (or was it something similar?) and thinking it was kinda lame, for what it's worth. (My apologies to anyone in this community who's ever been involved in m_b_p, btw)

1) There are journals that can be extremely lame, and others that end up being good writing that reads similar to good RPF fanfiction. Plus, there are tons of celeb RPGs so there is probably more lameness to be found elsewhere, so I am not surprised that's what you found.
