Current mood:*sporfle!*

There were a lot of comments yesterday remarking that this wank (which involved me posting pictures of Billy Boyd's supposed girlfriend in my LJ and commenting on how cute she is) was not remotely wanky.

It is now.

I never knew saying someone is adorable automatically makes one guilty of quite so many crimes against fandom....

Calm down, already. I think people can read comments on f_w without you posting a link to the comments on f_w. The fact that you don't agree with what I said does not constitute "wank" (or maybe it does? *shrug*). I only made that comment a couple of hours ago, LOL. Didn't even get a chance to respond or clarify before you labelled it as wank.

Anyway, as I tried to say earlier, in the comments you have now reported as wank ... I was talking more of the phenomenon in general, and not specifically about this Billy case/post. I should have made that more clear. I didn't know (or care) that you were the person whose journal was reported. I have no opinion or knowledge about you and whether or not you're a shrieking teenie. Someone told me recently that no one under the age of 25 uses the word "teenie" anymore (*sob* I use it), so my guess is you are not one, LOL. Ramblings tend to wander in this place, and what I said was of the wandering variety. Should have clarified in my comment. For the record, I know nothing about Billy or LotR fandom at all.

That said, what I said stands true. It may or may not apply to the situation which was reported, but it exists. To embarass myself thoroughly, I will give you two words: boyband fandom. I swear on all that is wanky, what I said was true.

Eso, I meant to comment, way back, on your original LJ post, that I totally agreed with you on the cuteness factor. The little plaid kilt! The haircut! So freakin' adorable.

Okay, I see wank coming from all sides here. Angel should've disclaimered her big explanation of where she was seeing teh wank, but that's just the start of it. After that, most of the wank came from other people jumping her case. ^^; I can understand being a bit irritated by a generalization, but there have been some really nasty comments here over it. Correct her and move on. It's just not that big of a deal. It's fandom - it's fucking funny. Stop acting like she shot your grandmother. O_o

I dunno if I would've posted a whole new thread to point it out, either. That's a bit much, but yannow - whatever floats your boat. ^^;

As for the original post - no, I don't see the wank, either. It doesn't *appear* to be what Angel was pointing out, but if somehow, someway, someone dug up something by E saying "OMG, i HATE thAt sluT!", then, yes - it would be big-time wank. But I sincerely doubt that will happen. ^_^

Just to play devils advocate, if all that was about how cute Dom is with Billy or something along those lines...
