Nope, not backing down. This is, indeed, a whole NEW (and, IMHO, rather ironically amusing) wank based on multiple observations of numerous threads. We do it all the time. And hell, I didn't say I'M not guilty of doing it, too. *G*

No, it's not helpful. It's annoying as hell having mods running around telling people where to post. It's the kind of thing that GENERATES wank. If there's anything I truly, truly, truly despise online, it's over-eager mods. Especially when they try to fix what isn't broken in the first place.

well, it was saying something that I might not have seen if it'd been posted in the comments of the entry that sprouted it. A link to that entry ro specific comments to that entry could have been cool, sure, but stil there's a difference: a post will be seen by prolly All Wankers United, whereas a comment will most surely not, expecially one or two days after the entry was posted.

I for one thinks that warranted a new post - and if the post is insipid, i don't think it's more than some others linking to 'Fresh Wank', because some wanks are inipids to me. So it's a matter of opinions, innit?
It was pointing to a wanky thing, and it just forgot to link, is all.

How else to you address all wankers? I don't see any other way, and I thought the poster had a point, which I was happy to see meself.
