The latest in the case of Duran Duran fans vs. Justin Timberlake:

A local London rag claims that Justin will cover Duran's beloved "Save a Prayer." "Save a Prayer" is a sacred cow. And Durannies are pissed.

As if the VMA and collaboration rants weren't wanky enough, more wank ensues, including the ever-so-clever snark "Justin Timbergay." They do realize that their favorite band was once known for androgyny, right?

The funny thing is 1) no one's taking into account that the article is probably completely fabricated and 2) none of the Nsync/Justin Timberlake fans care.

Not the wankiest, but it's amusing how Durannies Won't. Stop. Grabbing. The Bait. Isn't there a term for the one thing that's guaranteed to get everyone frothing at the mouth? I'm blanking. Whatever it is, Justin is clearly it for this fandom.

For now we'll just call it wankbait.
