Gaming wank? Font wank?
Over on the LJ gamers community, Someone posts questions about programming their own RPG. All is well until we get to darkelfnarith, who proceeds to say that RPG maker sucks and that he shouldn't make a Final Fantasy clone. The mod of the comm responds by...attacking her font. The two wank for many, many posts.

Maybe it's more of a mini-wank, but...neither of them would just SHUT UP!

ETA: Apparently this has been posted on LJ Drama as well. I did not get it from there.

I'll let you in on a little secret...there IS no Fandom_Wank. You're just reading a massive collection of posts, grabbed at random from over 500 different feeds. Any connection you see is just your human nature acting up.

Oh, and there are only REALLY 4 posters here. I account for over 100 sockpuppets, you know...or am I a sockpuppet myself? Only Zorro knows for sure...if SHE isn't a sockpuppet.

	I didn't see you credit LJDrama in the post. I mean, I get my news from MSN, but if use a story from Reuters, then they credit them. This made it sound like someone on FW found this all by themselves. I have to wonder what LJDrama thinks about you guys just borrowing their material. I guess we'll find out. Honey, I don't KNOW if this was stolen from LJdrama. I don't have psychic powers (except my super secret pizza radar) and, as such, cannot see into the brain of the person who posted this.

If it wasn't, okay.

If it was, okay.

And if LJDrama throws a fit, then we have more wank to laugh at. I really don't see the downside here.

News isn't copyrighted. What someone says *about* the news can be copyrighted, but "Johnny Cash is dead" doesn't belong to the Associated Press, and no one's required to credit them when spreading that information. "Some people somewhere are having a silly argument" doesn't belong to LJDrama, and no one's required to credit them when linking to that argument and commenting on it in their own words.

On the other hand if you're just saying Fandom_Wank isn't being very original in pointing out something LJDrama has already pointed out.. ok. First of all, not everyone here frequents LJDrama, and posting here is for the purposes of amusing the people who read here. Second, the original poster here may well have discovered the drama on her own, without even being aware that it's been mentioned on LJDrama. It's fandom, it's LJ, it's the internet. There's a reason the Six Degrees of LJ game works so well. Third.. who cares? Fandom Wank isn't competing with LJDrama in some internet wank news contest. It exists to entertain the people who visit it; if those people aren't entertained because they've already read it at LJDrama, they'll... scroll past the entry, and life will go on as before. Birds will sing, pies will be yummy, people will wank, and Johnny Cash will still be dead.
