Beautiful People Wank. Or Maybe Not.
This may belong in otf_wank, but I figured it might belong here because these people have a fandom.

Meet The Exalted, formerly NonUglies. They are a pictures rating community on LiveJournal. People submit their pictures and get voted in or out by the community. Members of the community then posted pictures of themselves and people comment on how hot they are. Only "the very fucking best" are let in, allegedly the hottest 2%. Erm. 2% of what, I'm not sure.

Anyway, with over 600 members, it's probably one of the most popular communities on LiveJournal. They get a lot of attention, both on LJ and even sometimes in the media. There are over a dozen other LJ communities dedicated to talking about it. There are many knockoffs, such as NonUgly Lesbians and NonUgly Fat People and the most recent craze, the gladiator-style Atraktive, whose community name is apparently irony-free. In other words, this is a BIG phenonemon on LJ.

Except... that, though it doesn't stop any of them from being vain, shallow or obnoxious, many people have commented on the fact that a lot of people on T_E are kind of ugly. In fact, a quick perusal of their photo posts may lead one to question how some of these fuckers ever managed to convince anyone they were good looking at all.

In comes Exalted! MY ASS!, a community much like F_W whose sole purpose is to poke with sticks the wankiness and stupidity made by the frequently misguidedly vain members of The Exalted. They giggle and snark about how "the very fucking best" actually sometimes have yellow teeth, double chins, ghastly numbers of piercings, bad wigs, big noses, inexplicable delusions of grandeur, and in the case of the unfortunate maintainer, a serious case of Fifty Miles Of Bad Road Syndrome and perhaps a too-vocal propensity for underaged T_E posters. Which E_M_A frequently points out by calling him Pedophile Cancer Boy, or a variation therein.

T_E Members post to E_M_A for a while, sometimes getting themselves banned from T_E in the process and sometimes attempting to defend their good looks. Ha! But then every other post on T_E becomes about how mean and heartless the jellus ugliez on E_M_A are, and for some crazy reason, 321go finally gets sick of being called Pedophile Cancer Boy, and decides to make The Exalted a closed, private community for T_E members only, not available to the viewing public. Where will the ratings and voting-in take place? A new, separate journal, Exalted Tryouts, of course! Then if they get accepted, they, too, can post to the Delusional Mutual Admiration Society Sekrit Hott Pppl's Comm!

Criminally too much time on their hands, you say? You ain't seen nothin' yet.

Now, I used to love to privately laugh at T_E, which I stumbled upon via friendsfriends a while ago. And then found E_M_A and initially loved it. But this? Dude. Both sides are so wanky, crazy and pointless that I just had to...
