Queer Guy With An Insensitive Eye
I knew it was coming. Of course it was coming.

If we put together a list of all things that cause wank, homosexuality would be up in the top twenty, just below "Justin Timberlake", "MsA" and "Anything That Has To Do With Harry Potter".

So, naturally, the yet-young Queer Eye For The Straight Guy fandom is a steaming cesspool of potential wank.

And thus it begins.

This is a case of "You Can't Do That In My ~~Our~~ This Community!" wank.

Miss Aiema says, "Hey you guys! These idiot fundies in the Midwest are bashing our Fab Five!"

Everyone agree except one idiot (and I use this term lovingly), who is agreed with by a few more idiots. A couple of people who disagree with the disagreement (myself included, oops) inform Mr. Why Can't We All Hold Hands And Be Nice why he does, in fact, suck.

Somebody else finds ANOTHER article about the same occurance and posts it again. People, once more, complain about the evil Montanians.

Mr. Why Can't We All Hold Hands And Be Nice doesn't like the way people are actually posting negative feedback about the show in a community about said show (imagine that!). He takes it upon himself to whine, and inform everybody that he DOES know what he's talking about, because he's t3h gay. Along with 1/4 of the rest of the community.

What do the Fab Five think about people making fun of fundies in a community dedicated to them? Something tells me that they don't really care all that much, seeing as half of the interviews with them make fun of fundies.

Which leads me to wonder what thoughtscrawl is smoking, anyway.

	...don't the first two (Justin and MsA) tie in with homosexuality anyway? Fuck, most of the HP wank is caused by homosexuality (Harry/Snape, Weasleycest, Harry/Sirius, et al.) ~~Anal~~ Sex makes the world go 'round. Or at least the wank. (Reply to this)

	I'm pretty sure this is related to the comment by the Montana Family Coalition? (Too lazy to wade through the wank.) That made front-page news in our local paper. While I'm not an avid "Queer Eye" fan, I must say that any show that gets my usually afraid-of-t3h-gays father watching has to be something special.

That having been said, I thought thoughtscrawl had some good points, though I think he should have known better to be all, "What's the big fucking deal, bitch?" regarding the situation. While we shouldn't make the fundies get us pissed off over every little thing they say, we also can't totally ignore what they say, either, as what they say helps fuel hate crimes against GLBT people everywhere.

Well I think he did have a decent point. I don't think he meant 'close your eyes, wish really, really, hard and the homophobes will vanish!' I think it was more, 'yes this is an important issue but since it's a board for QEftSG I'd rather talk about the show.'

He could've gone about it in a better way though. But I have seen similiar arguments end up in a never ending circle of wank so I do sympathize.

The articles in question WERE about the show, though.

They were negative feedback from some fundamentalist group in Montana boycotting the show, and that was what he was complaining about.

Now, if someone had used the community to springboard an off-topic political rant, that's one thing.

However, telling people who are using a community for it's purpose, to discuss the show (in any way, shape, or form, and not just about OMG JAI IS SOOOO HAWT!!! I wud do him!!1), that they don't like it when the community is used in that way because the feedback was negative this time to stop posting it, well, that's wanky to me.
