:stretches wank muscles: Wow, there might be something to said about getting up at arse 'o clock in the morning. Early bird catches the wank or something.

But I digress. It would seem that Popslash is about implode. Again.

Backstory goes like so: Justin Timberlake and JC Chasez are the golden boys of Nsync right. Justin has been out touring and promoting his album Justified. His bandmate JC has been recording an album. The album keeps getting put back. The fans are getting a wee bit pissy about this and various rumours and gossip has been bouncing around the fandom.

Step up Sleepygirl. Sleepygirl posts an entry saying that JC album has been put back because La Timberlake wants to do a club tour and Jive [their record label] has decided that they don't have enough money to support them both. And she knows this from "her sources".

And the wank ensues. Check the comments. The Justin-haters are ready to skin him alive for fucking up JC's album, the voice of logic are starting to stir and point out that Justin doesn't have that kinda of clout and that a record lable like Jive has more than just the Golden Boys of Nsync on their books and can probably afford to do both tours etc. I expect they'll be ignored as why let logic get in the way of a good rumour.

The ripples are already hitting my friends list, so no doubt there'll be some editing later to provide more wank. Meanwhile, I got some popcorn to make.

Oh, I was wondering when this baby was going to hit f_w (and yet, too lazy to post myself *g*). As someone who is admittedly more of a JC fan than a Justin fan, I still have to say that JC sure attracts him some crazy. The whole thing makes me want to start a rumour that Justin is in league with reptilian shape-shifting aliens who are trying to delay JC's album because only the Holy Power of his music can thwart their plans for world domination. Except that just doesn't seem silly enough.

if you go to britneyspears.com (I'm almost ashamed to admit I did exactly that), they have a news brief under the title "Important CD Release Date Update" that says, and I quote:

"The release date previously reported on this site and elsewhere was incorrect and we apologize for any confusion. We will let you know when a revised date is announced. Thanks for your understanding."

I personally think the BMG/WMG merger probably isn't helping things on all levels, but that's just my opinion. :)

Nsync fans should feel lucky. At least they don't have a lawsuit to deal with in regards to Jive like Backstreet does. If anyone should be wanking about Jive, it's the BSB fans. ahahahaha.

But hey! If this rumored turned out to be true, we'd get a lawsuit too! We'd actually get exactly the same lawsuit with the same causes of action and everything. Maybe JC could just copy their documents and do a search and replace [replace *BSB* with *JC Chasez*; replace *Nick Carter* with *Justin Timberlake*]. Think of how much he'd save in legal fees. That would certainly appeal to his thrifty nature. *snerk*

Well it would depend on what it says in Nsync's and JC's contract, really. I don't think the two are that interchangable, if what is alleged in BSB's lawsuit is true.

Bsb and nsync are on the same record label and bsb has been wanky about both. besides, its not a complete boyband wank without some mention of the rivalry. but you know, its not much competition, LFO is way better than both of them anyway.
