Once upon a time there was this Harry Potter role playing game. And this game was named Walpurgatory and its gimmick was that it took place in the eighteenth century.

Last weekend that game imploded from within.

It all started with a post made last Monday by the mod in which one of the players was detailing anonymously some troubles she'd had with other a few other players as a way of illustrating how happy she was that the mod was changing certain things.

One of those players decided a few days later that she wasn't happy and the next day the mod did lay the smackdown. To which about two-thirds of the members responded to by leaving.

And then... came the fall out.

"I'll just consider this a learning experience."

"Don't bother joining." "Hah! You are all SHEEEEEEP!"

"Hah! I shall quote Chicago and 'flame' you in Latin!"

"Dude. Weren't you the one who called our friend EVIL?"

"She called me EVIL? For THAT?"

"Hah! I shall flame you back with more Latin!"

"We are not sheep, damn it! We're a snobby clique if anything!"

"GODDAMN IT! Why do I have to keep repeating this?"

"I shall hit you over the head with a SCANNER! :)" (formerly locked)

"I didn't want to do this. But you have FORCED me to post the chat logs."

"You guys are like sooooo immature. But I am not because I have French subject lines."

"...but I tried to be NICE to her!" (BRAND NEW WANK!)
