If it was the John Denver and the Muppets Christmas album, them's fightin' words. ;)

I went to the first tag sale she had over at St Elizabeth's. I still have one of the shirts I bought.

It was quite the ecclectic collection. You could get expensive furs and her ugly bras all in one location.

Yes, she actually sold some of her bras.

I have not the words.

Hey, I've bought bras at yard sales!

But they still had the price tags on...aka "new" XD

Now selling used underwear...hoeeeee

I'm more goggling over the idea of a millions-selling author selling her bras, as opposed to, I dunno, donating them to the Salvation Army or something? Sheesh.

I KNOW. Is she in the hole or something?

Maybe she likes holding garage sales as a sort of social thing. I hope that's what it is, at least, because when you're in debt so deep that you have to sell old bras...

How deep in debt can she be, anyway? She's a best-selling (albeit inexplicably unedited) author! Did she blow it all on coke and blow jobs?

It's not like she spent it on her editor or anything.

Perhaps it's the daily head-deflations so she can walk on the ground like normal people? The cement shoes?

Popular authors sooner or later say 'Screw you' to editors and go off on their own. The smart ones come back and grovel at the editor's feet because editors = cashola

Oh, I'd love to see one of her old bras auctioned off on Ebay. That'd be cool.

"Yes, she actually sold some of her bras."

Maybe she was selling them with the claim that since these things had touched her body, the genius would rub off on the next wearer?

So... the magic sweat of a hack is meant to make us all more wise and worldly?

In that case... even I have some bra auctioning to do!

What scares me about this is that I'm not even surprised.

Well, that, and that I bet someone, somewhere, is doing the dance of joy because they got Anne Rice's used undergarments.

Sometimes, there isn't enough 'eeeuurgh' in the world...

Now I'm wondering what she charged for all that old stuff. I've gone to too many garage sales where the seller prices things for much more than they're actually worth. With Rice's sense of self-importance, she's probably selling everything for $5 an item.

If it's anything like the store in Orleans devoted to her crap, then they sold junk for upwards of 50-100 bucks simply because it was once in Her House. XD

When I went to New Orleans in 2001 we went into her store and there was a crappy old moniter in there that had a tag on it that said it was the one she used when she wrote TVL (I think...like it matters!) it had a tag of $250...we laughed ourselves silly.
