Well, as anyone with a livejournal knows, the friends-page for everyone has been disabled so the server-cacher-whatchamacallit can be cleared and generally fixed. Everything else pretty much works, everyone can update, check out recent entries, even comment, but for some people this is just too much! "OMG I can't check my friends-page! My friends NEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEED ME!!!11" S/He cries in the thread, ...but I'm too cheap to actually pick up a phone and, ya know, call them. Or go directly to their journal. FRIENDS-PAGE COME BACK TO ME!!!11"

Then, of course, the "Pay no attention to this idiot. He's a furry.">"He's a Furry!" attack comes into play and much fun is had!

some of the nicest people I know are furries! wah! defense finally comes into play, resplendent with "What is a Furry?" and "ickle mundanes" comments between the blaming of the "media" for the furry bad name.

Well, I can understand why some of em might not be able to pick up a phone-they may have friends living overseas, where the phone bill would be sky-high. But, even without their Friends Page, there's still AIM, MSN, email, etc, etc...why not get the latest scoop on their lives THERE?
