Please to be printing your lyrics!
Small and cute, but still a little headache-inducing.

Dave Matthews (of Dave Matthews Band fame) recently released a solo album. Anyone familiar with his work knows that Dave has this really funky mumbly-joe Afrikaan-influenced Southern accent, which sometimes makes it hard to hear the lyrics of his songs. Especially if he doesn't provide a lyrics sheet with his album release.

This wank concerns a song of his called "Dodo." There is some disagreement as to the lyrics.

But what is he saying? WHAT? WHAT?

My vote goes with this guy:"i think it's, "but with the assage of time..." much deeper meaning if it is..."

PS: It's "passage."

I like on the first page you have fairly calm replies postulating "passage" or "asset," which quickly devolve into "it's passage dumbasses!" by page two.

I like this response the best:

waht if it is the "passing" of time. bet ya never thought of that one. hahahahahahahaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa..........................

oh my god im drunk

I wish I was with ya there, buddy.

YOU obviously don't listen to much Sisters of Mercy, with the "And the we'll turn 'round" and the "Kissed and toll'd" and...ACK! Damn you, Eldrich...

My assage is wearing a hat for the word "assage".

You could also use it as praise. As in you're watching Sharpe, you see Bean in those nice pants and you say, "look at the assage on him." Or "Man he's got assage."

It has the potential to be a very useful word.

How can one make fun of the wonderful southern accent?

God approves of that accent, damn it!

The pothead contingent, at least. The acid-dropping contingent, as well.

"Assage of time" is now my FAVORITE TYPO EVER, in the whole wide world. More than "Black Singlet," more than "wore a banana around his head," more than "he fired a bream from his hand," dear heaven above I love that typo. Ahhh.

Am easily amused. Excuse me.

any excuse to use the word!

I'm not sure if I like it better than "his Padawan brain dropped from below his right ear", but it does bring me delightful visions of giant callipygian time-piece.
