Long story short:

A group of friends and myself do some real-time MSTing with a bunch of fics, some of which came from Grey Archive.
We discover that we think they're actually pretty funny, so we put them up on fanfiction.net.
Nothing happens for a very, very long time.
One of the authors suddenly notices an MSTing of one of her stories, and gets upset.
Pyros? Declares war. He bombards the ff.net staff, and contemplates having his site's members help him raise like 200 pounds to make everyone hate us.
We get in touch with the author in question, and find out that she's actually quite nice, but a little deluded by the group.
Meanwhile, among things like lying about having contacted us (and me being extremely rude to him), slams said author for "falling for [our] lies" or some shit.
A friend of mine and I get the author to actually have him, like, talk to us. We calmly, rationally explain our situation, and he caves in like, immediately. Soon after, all mention of this shit is deleted from the Grey Archive forums. It's like it never existed.
Also around that time, all MSTings are deleted from fanfiction.net, because Xoth is a pussy.

Apparently he's learned basic grammar skills since then, so that's a plus.

I went back to that thread yesterday after the new entry mentioned drama in the older threads.

I have to wonder how they can be such fans of text-based pr0n if the majority of them seem incapable of reading. "OMG how dare u flaem what other ppl like n try 2 shut us down omg!!!"

...yyyyeah.

And I'd wager that attacking the Ficbitches is just derailed pissiness from SA/PoE/wherever else they've been mocked. They can't bully the big sites, so they go after the random LJ.

After reading this wank I understand why the archivist at GA was irritated. The original link that had been posted did, in fact bypass the warning page of the archive. The link should have been to the welcome page, with all its legal disclaimers, not directly to the request page.

The laws concerning electronic signing on the internet are not iron clad but once you click the 'I Agree' button on a website you, as the visitor, are entering the site without coercion. That seemed to be the problem that GA's archivist had with the posting of the link originally.

As for the content of Greyarchive, I drop by the site often to see what new fics are available. Some of the fics are well-written and enjoyable, while others are better left unread. The request page is interesting to say the least.
