Funny we should be talking about "elite" communities..
I ran across this little gem by accident while looking for LJ communities related to Karl Urban. It's the profile that gets me. That, and the fact that it's existed since February and only has three members. Just a mini-wank, probably long dead, but it amused me. Let me show you, judge for yourself...

This is the official LiveJournal community to the upstart webpage, the Golden Hall. You can see the link just above. As you can see, it has just started. I am working on a gallery (sort of... well, maybe) and I have an offer to have a forum put in. There are a few simple, and not too tight rules to follow. 1. No excessive cursing. I won't bite for a little bit, but it is not endorsed. 2. No spamming or advertising of other sites. 3. No racist, sexist, or insulting comments about anyone or anything. Unless I agree. 4. Whatever I say goes. Now, drop your pants and count to 100! 5. The first ten members to join get "founding member" ranking, meaning there's no initiation to go through. 6. All members 11+ must go through a small initiation. *wields the cardboard tube* 7. No copping out of initiation. 8. Only I may initiate initiation. Ony I may administer initiation. Anyone who violates this must face Tally's eggbeater. Anyone who defies Tally shall face HawHaw's brick. Anyone who defies her shall be subject to the almighty pips, who shall not be happy. Anyone who defies her... we have a secret weapon. 9. Don't defy me or the Founding Members. We don't like that. 10. Don't ask to be a founding member. Because you're not. There ya go! We don't necessarily have to have a Tolkien discussion, so we'll just go with the flow.

And after all that, the site doesn't even work. Darn! I feel robbed.
