Mock. Mockmockmock. Mockity-mock-mock

12:40am: Hey there - long time lurker, first time poster. And, well, I had non-DomLijah LotR wank for ya, but it looks like it was just deleted.

Um...hi anyway? *tentative wave*
1:46am: Not quite wank
But oh, the potential is *so* there...

Join the x_drama_queensx LJ community!

Ergo the teenie-speak and general teenie angst. Whew boy.
10:34am: Being overweight is just like being a black disabled lesbian!
Er, or something. In the shiny American Idol fandom, some of its fans are none too happy about the treatment of a potential superstar. The contestant being discussed is Ruben Studdard, a big man with a big voice. Someone expressed dismay at the jokes made about his physical appearance and claimed that being labeled "fat" is just the same as calling African Americans "n*ggers". It only goes downhill from there. There's even a post about "turning gay." Where? At the next stoplight?
1:40pm: You know you've been reading too much wank when...
I realize now that I've been reading a) too much slash and b) too much FW when my first thought on seeing this is "Yes! It's a sign that Harry's going to come out of the closet in Book 5!"

...help?
3:37pm: VSD, isn't that some sort of STD?
CC wrote The Very Secret Diaries (LotR), and thus started a trend that continues on across fandoms- and now into the political realm. Cygnusfap wrote a VSD for Dubya, and now the entry weighs in at over 250 comments.

A little piece of evil- in the form of "The Very Secret Diary of George W. Bush". The wank is in the commentary, naturally. Just look for the pro-Bush people who don't understand humor, and there you shall find plenty of wank. Not exactly fandom, but based on fandom material. Close enough for me?

(I happen to like the president, but this is a very funny VSD. Also, I wish I could write an entry that got seven bloody pages worth of commentary.)
4:06pm: A poll! A poll! An RPS poll!
RPS versus the Hypothetical Ewan Sex Tape.

Any pimping of said poll would be greatly appreciated.
4:30pm: Icon fun...
Why is it that when I bash the HP Fandom this doesn't result? I want to be special and neat and loved and have people give brownie points to me for bashing a fandom I am a member of. (Okay, I only hang out here but I'm still a member.) Envy Envy. IF I bash HP will f_w make post oodles of love for me in excess of two pages of comments?

Okay, not envy because those things she mocks are mocked for a reason.
4:43pm: RPS IS EVIL!!
Fuck it. It's wankable. I know all the F_W haters think we just wank on opinions that are different than ours so what the hell. Let's prove 'em right :)

RPS is akin to rape! or something like that. Paraphrasing, per usual ;)
7:51pm: Is this wanky?
I'm not sure. But it boggled my mind, anyway.

"I can handle being at war... I can handle even Sean Biggerstaff not being in HP3.... But I need Draco..."
Current Mood: mostly amused
10:08pm: Okay, so maybe this isn't the best wank ever . . .
Can't compare to MsA or Sarah T. but I thought it was amusing anyway:

Waaah! How could they?? This album sucks! The cover art is horrible and tacky and you can't hear the audience! No Micky playing the kettledrum, etc. etc.!

The wank is in the review "Monkees Live Rip-off". The fact that the cover art is bad (in the opinion of one reviewer) and that songs were left off seems to be more important than what IS there--you don't really hear much about the actual music, just crap like "The liner notes give fans no new information and only three tiny individual photos of the Monkees (no group photo) and one blurry photo of the back-up band."

Gee, and I thought you were supposed to buy CDs to listen to them. Silly me.
10:39pm: This is in no way intended to encourage trolling. Please don't. Rather, it's an idle musing.

Those of you who've been with F_W since its LJ days probably remember when this community was started in response to F_W.

So, I'm wondering, what would happen if someone posted there, praising the Slashcity folks as "fandom goddesses" for giving F_W an unTOSable home?

Again, don't go do it. Just wondering.
