Okay, losing my proverbial FW cherry here. *waves*
I have a J-rock wank for you. (J-rock = Japanese rock music for the uninitiated. Visual, or visual kei, involves lots of gender-bending, boykissing, and all that good stuff.)
The Dir en Grey community (dir_en_grey) on LJ is comparatively non-wanky for a J-rock community. In fact, a lot of the people there are mature and downright hilarious. However, at times there will be random wanking when someone posts a usually unfounded rumor that a member is engaged/married/gay/straight/dead/no longer "visual" (visual = wearing makeup, dyeing hair, cross-dressing, etc.) or when someone leaves the community in a diva-esque fit of rage against anyone who dares to find a member of the band attractive. (there's a REASON they're called a visual band. the pretty is part of the package, ma belle.)
"You all suck because you people dared to like how a VISUAL band looks (god forbid!) and make jokes about the band and therefore I'm leaving while insulting 99% of the community and making a big shit about it because I'm better than all of you!" Agreement, sucking-up, and flaming of people who disagree ensues.
So, not especially wanky, but still with a small amount of wank. I steer clear of the wankier communities (painful. truly.)
