1:10pm: Branching into new fandoms
Ah, the sweet smell of Smallville wank in the morning.

I'm a writer, and I love to write. And write and write and write and write. I love writing so much, in fact, that I often take up whole pages with meaningless and self-aggrandizing exposition just to say something as simple as "Why can't we all just get along?" and "I have an idea: and it's [this]."

Did I mention I love to write? I can never get enough of the sound of my own fingers typing. Type type type! Type like the wind! Also, did I mention it's all about me?

And if you didn't get enough of me, me, me and my writing in the entry, I go on for hours and hours in the comments. There's plenty of my words to go around!
Current Mood: annoyed
4:19pm: The Mother of All Wanks
In celebration of Jennifer Diane Reitz' new and extremely vile "project," I present to you: A Wank Retrospective.

Let the wanking commence. )

(Note: I have read all of UJ for its TWS/POE factor. It does not improve at all during the course of the strip; if anything, it devolves from tolerable to repulsive. It is without a single redeeming factor. No, not one. It's the single most hateful thing I have ever seen, and JDR is the most hateful human being to walk the Earth. I had no idea it was possible to absolutely loathe someone who didn't kill a bunch of people, but what do you know, it is.)

An old parody I did before I ever heard of F_W, but which fits in admirably if I do say so myself. (Cut and paste the link.) WAI WAI!

UPDATE: It begins.
10:32pm: In this thread, [info]rann mentioned some old Boy Meets Boy wank. Here it is, for your viewing pleasure.

It starts when [info]rann posts some constructive crit to the the BMB mailing list.

important bits of the post )

The response is not overwhelming, but it's bizarre.

'I have to admit that when I first read through the comments I found in my mailbox this morning, I was slightly appalled.' )

A refreshing interlude from someone who should be on FW if s/he isn't already )

the creator's response )

the angry one )

'It sounds to me like you want BmB to be a graphic novel with indepth studies and 128 pages of text to accompany it' )

Flame? )

There were valid points on both sides, including "story still developing!" and the suggestion that this might have been better as an e-mail directly to Sandra, but I have lost energy. All posts found on the ML, way back when. Decided not to put in names, for reasons beyond me.

On the whole, I found the entire thing surreal. No one gets to the actual flame level, but it's all very... made me feel so uncomfortable on that list, even though I was a lurker, becuase it was so confusing that the OP was objectionable. And I have probably made at least two HTML errors in here, so I apologize in advance.
