2:47am: Very very old wank, and not quite fandom, but..
This is probably the biggest wank ever to come out of the wrestling corner of the internet.
A few years ago, there was humor/opinion board that was getting big. About 5-6 thousand hits a day. The WWF noticed this, and *directly* ripped off ideas from them more than once.
But no one would have believed this story if it weren't actually documented.

10:54am: PoE Wank
It's gotten bad at the Portal of Evil. Bad enough to leave. What was once dark-roasted FUNY with a few Folger's Crystals of stupid has turned into a premium blend of pure idiocy. There's more wanking in the forums now than there is mocking, and it's sad. But thank Todd for fandom wank! It gives me hope where all is darkness.
When things go all bad like this, you want to find the straw that broke the x-rated fursuiter's back. The point of no return. I can faithfully say that that straw [or point] is PoEcon II.
PoEcon is a time for all friends of evil to gather together and get drunk in the woods. It is a time of comraderie, of putting all those nasty flame wars behind you and having a good time. There has been a grand total of one PoEcons, and the 2nd is coming up. Last year, some people couldn't come. Last year, that was okay. This year, if you do not attend PoEcon II, you are a great big coward who doesn't know what fun is and should set your priorities straight.
In this thread, Alienjack asks for people to confirm registration. Then he cancels PoEcon III. 226 posts ensue. High points: if your aunt gets in a serious wreck, you should still go to PoEcon. Alienjack posts messages about the whole fiasco in every single active forum. Also, Nevervoid2000 asks how this stuff was managed in the PoEcons of yesteryear, because surely there must have been so many, what with this year's being PoEcon II.
Wank ensues in the form of Flash. Everyone agrees they hate Nevervoid. Then more voices of dissent appear. 231 posts.
Also, somewhere in here, Shmibbon stalks Nick C for years to find out his last name. And Mr Burble is Captain Obvious and has been pulling the most elaborate troll on the forums we think since ever. Or maybe he isn't. I can't tell anymore, and I'm not diving back into this ocean of fecal matter again.

2:53pm: fanlisting wank!
Seems that someone doesn't agree with TFL.org's rule that bans

Well then, I might as well create a fanlisting for 'All of Leonardo Dicaprio's movies, EXCEPT FOR ONE OF THEM'There's not much there now, but the day is young.

5:12pm: Segway Wank!
It all starts when
somebody posts to a completely unrelated forum that he hates Segways and wants to kill their inventor, and tosses in some Bush-bashing for good measure. Some people try to keep it light-hearted by mentioning a Sluggy Freelance storyline involving Smegways, but it is quickly lost in people bitching that Segways are pure apathy, and will destroy the poor oil industry tycoons, and bring about the end of the world as we know it.
It's not a very long wank or a very intense one, but I thought it was notable for, if nothing else, the pure ridiculousness of it.
