1:45am: Some Anime Jump! (To Conclusions) Wank
So poster "Ryouga" at the Anime Jump message boards wants to know more about a series called "Alien Nine". His post references the recent review of said series, written by Christian Nutt, who frequents said messageboard under the handle of "ferricide". Notice that he also bashes Neon Genesis Evangelion while he's at it, calling it "impressionistic bullshit", among other things.

ferricide replies, basically arguing with Ryouga over his opinion of "Evangelion" (yet he still manages to answer the question).

Ryouga won't let the subject die. Neither will ferricide. Others come into the fray!

But they do not answer the most important question of all! What would happen if David Cronenberg directed "Cardcaptor Sakura"?! I MUST KNOW!!!!111!!1

I especially like the argument that "i think it's a testament to the complexity of this film that some of you feel like you need to pull out other movies to help you understand this one." It couldn't possibly be a testament to how poorly a film stands on its own, could it?

I've seen people defend some pretty insignificant little pieces of turf, but I think this may be one of the stupidest I've seen yet.

I add the interest "not sharing this interest" to my LJ.

The person who had it as a unique interest is miffed.
