9:15pm: Furries! Rescue Rangers! Friends-Page Drama! Anus Seepage!

Well, as anyone with a livejournal knows, the friends-page for everyone has been disabled so the server-cacher-whatchamacallit can be cleared and generally fixed. Everything else pretty much works, everyone can update, check out recent entries, even comment, but for some people this is just too much! "OMG I can't check my friends-page! My friends NEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEED ME!!!11" S/He cries in the thread, ...but I'm too cheap to actually pick up a phone and, ya know, call them. Or go directly to their journal. FRIENDS-PAGE COME BACK TO ME!!!11"

Then, of course, the "Pay no attention to this idiot. He's a furry.">"He's a Furry!" attack comes into play and much fun is had!

some of the nicest people I know are furries! wah! defense finally comes into play, resplendent with "What is a Furry?" and "ickle mundanes" comments between the blaming of the "media" for the furry bad name.

Remember that ridiculous Anne Rice thing posted a few days back? Well, I decided that it just had to be "commented" on and did so at my JF journal. So, for those who want to, here it is in its glory:

It actually IS nastier than I originally intended it to be...but after all was said and done, I decided nasty was the way to go. I'm hoping to tackle Anne McCaffrey next. (I rather LIKED some of the Pern books, but gah - what a n00b that woman can be! I've even seen her in action. Yarg.)

You all remember this wank, in which the loss of a single filler episode from Sailor Moon R had the AoD Forums up in arms?

Now, those wascawwy wabbits at ADV have done it again. 15 seconds of what appears to be voices (well, laughter) and music, taken from the infamous DiC dub!

Naturally, the board members are at arms all over again. Once again, the analogy of food is dragged out (Mmm... maggoty Sailor Moon bread...), fanboy hackles are raised in hysteria (ADV RAEPED OUR SOULZ), and a chorus of "I've got the LDs! I've got the Fansubs!" is spread throughout the land.

So, in other words, it's an average day at AoD. I just wanted an excuse to procrastinate some more, and provide laughter. That's important too.
