: Heads up, potential wankery ahoy
lower_tadfield is an LJ community dedicated to fannish musings about Good Omens, a joint collaboration between Terry Pratchett & Neil Gaiman; some great stuff gets posted there, some not great stuff gets posted there, but overall it's a nice and friendly place where nice and friendly people get together and act like geeky fen.
Now, somebody obviously didn't read the community's user info page. I'd normally consign this post to the wastebins of obvious trollery, except--the girl tries to slam
lower_tadfield for being a fannish community, when it clearly states in the user info that fan works of all sorts are welcome.
From her post: "Turns out it's [lower_tadfield's] nothing but a bunch of wanna-be writers and anime artists blackening further my faith in those interested in science fiction/fantasy. Have some respect for the authors' intentions, please."
Zounds, a hit, a very palpable hit! I'm quivering in my Timberlands, darlin'.
Ooh, and don't forget to notice her crying woe, woe for the poor authors' compromised and bastardized artistic visions! Sounds like Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett need some good oldDefenders of the Faith protectors of their textual virginity artistic integrity.
Not much yet besides people replying with variations of "bitch, please," but ooh, I can't wait to see what happens if/when the OP starts responding to the comments in the thread. (And Anne Rice, are you paying attention? In...three lines, this girl has wanked mightily and wanked fiercely. It's tight, it's neat, it's wankalicious. Economy of expression, Ms. Rice, economy of expression. *blows kisses*)
