3:02am: Yikes...
I was looking around IMDB for info on various movies I haven't gotten to see yet, and came across this beautifully wanky little bit of fun on the House of 1000 Corpses article. Observe the stupid:

6:36am: Supersentai VS Power Rangers! FIGHT!
Supersentai is, basically, a long-running Japanese special effects series (of a genre usually called Tokusatsu). Toei has kept it airing for over 25 years. Just over a quarter century of beating a dead horse. Good LORD. About 10 (?) years back, a man named Haim Saban took the action footage from GoGo Five and filmed a bunch of American actors in the roles of the characters (outside the battles and such). This became Power Rangers.

12:37pm: a small continuation of the "omg aja is sikotic!" saga
What always, always amuses me about Potter wank is the people who say that "oh wait, I really don't care about fandom's opinion" and then proceed to write up a giant rant about the fandom and disable comments. Not a bunch of wanking in this since the comments were disabled, unless you count the post alone which by itself is a big pile.

10:48pm: Slight POTC Drama
I posted this in my journal and then silvernutmeg pointed out that I should post it in here. I know that some of the most recent wanks have been about Harry Potter and such. But I found a little something that's just a bit different...

The judgement of right and wrong, courtesy and disrespect... over Captain Jack Sparrow's costume of Pirates of the Caribbean on Jack Sparrow Fans.

Not the ultimate wank, I know, and everything seems to be slowing down to a stop. But I found it to be enough for me to point out as well. With about fifty comments, they wanked over something that wasn't even really worth discussion. The girls got to see the costumes and even touch them. So? They didn't commit a horrendous sin and will not be doomed to torment in hell. Taking the risk of being escorted out of the exhibit by security and even banned from Disneyland was their business and decision. It happened, it's over, and done with now. Oh well. At least be thankful that this ignorant, rabid fangirl didn't steal any piece of the costume, right? Fandom can be so anal sometimes.

Semiteeny posts in i_theft that _whatever stole her icon. _whatever responds snarkily!

Both say that they have the .psd file for the icon they seem to share, and semiteeny posts hers.

_whatever posts that she doesn't have time for petty drama, but then proceeds to make two more posts, plus a third that she deleted, about the matter, which was her "I have the proof" post. Which, she also posted over at deardiary_icons in a post right here.

"Hmm. Those screencaps look awfully identical." People say.

"Oh," _whatever says, "I emailed that to her." According to this comment.

Whoo, more icon wank than one can shake a stick at!

Can I provide the stick? *wields 2x4*

And... is there some kind of law that can be written up against saying this?
