10:43am: Ducks, you must Cease and Desist!
Yep. It's true. One of Ducks' websites got a C&D from Fox. Her response: Not only do I *NOT* make ANY money from this, I SPEND hundreds every year, and it's FREE FREAKING PUBLICITY for their greedy, bloodsucking asses. However, she is removing images from the shows though not her fanfic.

( Let's trip down memory lane, shall we? )

The kicker? Some people are crying conspiracy. ( It's the Spuffies. That's who it is! The Friggin' SPUFFIES! )

No matter what one thinks about C&D letters in general, Ducks and others from the Babble Boards definitely feel persecuted. Of all websites on all the Internet, Fox serves notice to Ducks'.

11:36am: Wank eats itself!
I don't even know how to begin to classify this one.

It starts when I decide to metaquote a previous wank.

...leading to fanfic envy. (Oh, my mistake-- she doesn't resent fanfic, she's just a fan of originality.)

And what fanfic wank is complete without "It's lame, so why bother?"

And there I am in the middle of all of it, trying desperately to keep up.

5:15pm: Harry Potter, Icons, and Slash... all in one wank!
So over on hp_icons, logicalromantic posts a few anti-slash pieces. Behind an lj-cut. With a warning to slash fans to skip the post. But we all know better than to think that'll keep people from wanking!

ociwen tells her to take it to a het only community. (Is there any such thing in HP fandom? Even pottersues has occasional lesbians...)

jadedroses thinks the warning should have been in bigger letters. No, really. She says exactly that - she skipped the disclaimer and it's all logicalromantic's fault for using too small a font.

gypsyflame wants to make anti-het icons. logicalromantic attempts to respond to the baiting with some semblance of maturity (leaving me wondering why she responded at all), and is made fun of by watersdaughter, who freely admits that she's never had any first-had exposure to the Harry Potter books or movies... she just likes slash.

I'm having a hard time deciding whether logicalromantic or her detractors are the wankier party here.
