5:03am: Warning! May cause Wanking to Occur!
Ok, so...this is a wank just begging to happen. From the lovely forum Fiction Alley Park, this thread was found. It is called The Society for Canonically Responsible Shipping. What the hell does that mean? It means that in the thread, people discuss pairings that they believe has evidence (in canon) of possibly happening.

As much as it may seem like a good idea, speaking as a person who has been in the HP fandom for a while, this can only turn ugly! Especially as slash is also open for discussion. Thoughts? Questions? Any additions to this possible wank?

Over on LJ's Queer Eye For The Straight Guy community, mini-wanks occur all the time, but never have I seen such an instant and over-reactive flambe such as this:

_gashes is defriended by doused_in_gin. Rather than shrug her shoulders, like most people would do, she posts a long rant about it. She assumes the defriending was because doused lists anti-gay as an interest. (One wonders why _gashes friended a person who had anti-gay listed as an interest, but to be fair it's possible that it was added after she friended her.) _gashes is *especially* pissed because she hosts doused's website, which *does* make getting upset over the defriending more reasonable.

The really fun part is that doused writes NC-17 Harry/Draco fanfiction. As a touch of revenge for the defriending, _gashes changes her website a bit. (The new sidebar is truly a thing of beauty.)

Doused has yet to post her reaction to the whole thing yet, but I imagine it'll be really very funny.
