My first wank, and I must say it's wankeriffic.

I've been a member of The Louislist for almost four years now, and Silverhawk, our list owner, has always kept the list as wank-free as possible.

This Whit person goes on to say she was just defending the honor of one of her friends and Silverhawk has been harassing them and has kicked them all out of the group and that everyone in the group, especially Silverhawk, is sadistic and paranoid.

Then, she posts all the messages that have been exchanged on the subject. ( First she has Silver's original message... )

The original message was posted only 1.5 hours ago to a list with 412 members, about 100 of which are active, so the wank is just going to keep coming...

The thread isn't full of wank, but the original post sure is.

I hate anime because it's all the same crap, even though there are obviously a lot of different genres out there that have nothing to do with one another!

8:38pm: Old flamewars never die, they just retreat to their corners and BURN
Once upon a time, there was the X-Files fandom, and oh, the flamewars burned.

But time passed, and people left, and then one day the show was cancelled. This should be the end of the fairy tale, right?

WRONG.

XF fandom is still out there, with all the crazies off in their own little corners, patting each other on the back and nursing their hurts. There aren't as many flamewars anymore, if only because the wackier fen keep to within their own circles and therefore don't have anyone to dispute their wild-ass opinions.

But that doesn't make those opinions any less wanky! ;-)

So while TXF has been off the air for, what, a year and a half now, and Duchovny (hereafter known as DD) left the show a year plus before that, there are still DDFans who are as bitter and virulent as they were the day he announced he was leaving. And there are also the faithful and clueless of the Haven Spoilers folder, who continue to cling to the idea of a second movie like a lifeboat in the North Atlantic.

( Let's go see what these crazy kids are up to, shall we? )

In conclusion...these people are all whacked. I can't decide if their continued passion still flaming this hot two years after the show ended is something to admire or fear.

I say...fear. *g*
