12:00am: So, fandom_5cents wrote some rather fabulous Bert/Ernie/Elmo slash [not worksafe] to pass the time while the tumbleweeds blew back and forth (ingrates!).

When I read calystarose saying, "[Y]ou are seriously twisted," I presumed she meant in the entirely positive sense that I had myself concluded was the case, while slapping my knee and squealing over Ernie's "fuzzy little boner".

But apparently not. In fact, I'm not sure if calystarose has heard a joke before.

Includes attempts to misuse the fine and upstanding name of fandom_wank to silence someone who is a lot funnier than you! Shocking.

[ETA after five minutes' reflection: can I take bids on whether this is for real? How much of a knob can one person, let alone one person claiming to speak for fandom_wank, be? calystarose's journal *really* isn't impressing me as a criminal mastermind's, though.]

1:22am: Highlander Mary Sue wank...
Simply_Blah has a Highlander original character, Ankhesemamen. At first glance it seems like a fine character, but some 'mean' person in a Highlander rpg told her that Ankhesenamen was a sue. So she posts her little sue character at oc analysis.

She gets several posts telling her that yes it is a sue. To which she responsed to each. Things turly get wanky in this thread.

A wonderful bit of her defense as to why her beloved character isn't a sue:

"I did a helluva lot of research for Ankhesenamen and I even read a real book about Nefertiti (not a webpage)."

10:29am: Pumpkin Wank!
Recently, the Pumpkinheads community on LJ has been gradually exploding into wankery/useless adulation. It starts when Tragicforces posts a link to Billy Corgan.com, where their bald messiah has posted a pretty whiny accusation toward the Pumpkins guitarist, James Iha, stating that he broke up the band. Someone else posts the full text of said message in another thread. People wank. Some threads aren't very wanky, but they might turn wanky, so I'm including them anyway.

11:07pm: deleterius wank
Yes, it's only really a little wank so far, but it's reasonably amusing all the same.

On deleterius, a rather hideous fic is reported. Just the usual fun, including lines like:

"She sat. Her eyes were glowing red. And Saruman said:

«Tell me about your atoms!»"

and a graphic novel version of 'The Sick Story' (yes, that's the name of the fic).

(by the by, I'd like to warn anyone who's afraid of rather Sauraman+Sue!sex to stay away - likewise anyone who is traumatised by the idea of Sauraman in an "Orthanc-patterned pyjama shirt" should avoid that original link.)


However, "Sauruman's Bitch", morima makes an appearance, declares that she wrote the Lady Sick story, says that the deleterius members were 'trolling' her, and proclaims that "Without the sex scene however, the story is decent in itself compared to any other Legolas Mary Sue we find out there." And she was, of course, commenting in the original report as well.

Yes, everyone's pretty well behaved so far, but what with the long q&a's and the fic author lurking in the original thread, I found it smacked of enough wank to be worth a giggle. Enjoy.
