1:01am: Because Western animation fans wank, too!
Relatively tame for f_w, but I keep meaning to post wank from the Animated Lust messageboards...

Fuschia7, AKA Anastasia Ashworth, joined AL not long ago and has been annoying the crap out of everyone since by posting laundry lists of questions about The Great Mouse Detective and complaining about how no one reviews her fanfics. fanficrants members might remember her from this post. (Sadly, the original thread has been deleted.)

The wank starts when someone starts a fairly innocent discussion about historical accuracy in animation, and Fuscia starts another thread to complain:

( I believe animation is real! How dare you think otherwise! I'm leaving! )

Needless to say, they aren't exactly upset by her threat of leaving. Fuscia comes back and says she was "joking", but doesn't say whether she was joking about the "I believe in talking animals" part or the "I'm leaving" part. There'll be more to come; these are slow moving forums...

12:29pm: My fandom's wank-fu is best!
Remember this X-Files wank, in which we learned that those wacky Havenites were planning an ad in the Hollywood Reporter to show fan support for a second X-Files movie? Sure you do! While they had ad layouts all planned and a website, they were having a bit of trouble reaching their $3000 goal (maybe because they were the only fans who knew about it? I certainly haven't seen it advertised anywhere else).

12:53pm: Victoria Bitter Bites Again
Y'all remember the TentMoot crash and sundry fallout?

Well, Turimel has been doing a splendid job over at LiveJournal keeping track of/calling for evidence regarding the various cons that seem to have been perpetrated by Ms. Stone and Ms. Player.

Everything is going along well when Turimel receives this which is frankly too damn funny for words.

Please. Giggle and Point. Repeatedly.

7:47pm: Spooge.
Long time wankee first time wanker.

Basically, the PotC fandom doesn't like blatant child molestation stories that star Elizabeth and Norrington. Unfortunately, MeghanJinx writes one and posts it on pirategasm. They argue that the rating is incorrect, it's not appropriate for the community, they don't know what 'chan' means. In short, they argue: this is not the Harry Potter fandom where you can pair Snape and a Broomstick and get positive reviews.

One of the more funny bits, however, was when 'marquesate' asked why they were all reading the story if they don't like it? Mud is flung by 'webcrowmancer' - "omgomgomg, you didn't read the story, therefore YOU MUST LIKE IT." The entire thread is made up of hyperbole and warped logic - "Anyone who disagrees that kiddie-porn is evil is obviously evil too! Even when they don't disagree at all!"

I don't know whether it will grow, and grow, or just die the death of 'get the fuck over it' - these things always seem to cause controversy.
