8:47am: I didn't even know anchovies had crotches
Monk fandom seems to be a smallish, sweet little fandom about a funny, sweet little show. There is some argument about the old versus the new theme song, but nothing mean or flamey towards other fans. I thought, Could this be a wank-free fandom?

Alas, no.

The Museum of Television and Radio (MTR) was to host an event with some of the cast and producers of the show. The event was cancelled at the very last minute because Tony Shalhoub (the star of the show) was ill. Some fans were unhappy. As is the way of wank, other fans got annoyed that some fans were unhappy. And fans got annoyed that fans got annoyed that some fans were unhappy.

12:39pm: Anti-Passion Goodness
Gotta love Mock_the_Stupid as it seems to be an unending source of wanky goodness. Seems that there's a spam bot going around asking people if they're going to go see Mel's Passion.

Well it seems that deser_interdit failed to realize it was a bot and proceeded to wank gloriously about it.

Now, the beginning replies weren't at all wanky, just pointing out that this had already come up in a previous post when, out of the blue, someone takes offense to a reference to Jude Bennett and his fuck you list.

Wank ensues.

I have to say, I enjoy being able to mock the stupid at Mock_the_Stupid.

3:32pm: Darren Hayes wankage
Darren Hayes, formerly of Savage Garden, is getting ready to release his 2nd album, and one of his biggest supporters is Schooly, a DJ of UK's Capital FM.

He and his spies have managed to get info about the album, and the fans on the Official Darren Hayes BBS tune in worldwide to hear the news.

Though info is little, the fans are mostly pleased, and they decide to send messages to Schooly. However, some fans think Schooly's given too little and have sent Schooly threatening, rude, and demeaning emails about it.

This ticks Schooly off and he sends a message to the BBS via a fan that due to the rude emails, he won't reveal any more info about the album.

Fans are horrified, and this elicits a response from Tracey, Darren's sister and one of the co-managers of his fanclub.

EDIT : It's a Fanclub Conspiracy! (a wank waiting to happen, since Fanclub Wank is high and often seen on the DH BBS.)

10:04pm: The wank will be with you... always
I have been alerted that there is fresh wank over at boards.theforce.net, Star Wars fandom spooge central.

In short, the TFN site ownership has request the names, phone numbers, and addresses of the entire volunteer mod staff. If the moderators do not hand this over, they would lose their mod powers. And if all the mods and staff leave, the site owner has threatened to shut it all down.( the down-low, from the Costuming boards )

It all leaks out when certain mods are spotted as being mere mortals.

And yes, slash even gets a brief mention!

Apparently it's 'settled' now, with a statement from the site owner, but this being TFN... Who knows? Many are still up in arms that the demoted mods haven't recieved VIP status, as is the standard for ex-mods.
