1:28am: Elitist Archives and Those Mean Fandom Bitches
This is a fairly large wank, and I'll admit that I skimmed most of it. As far as I can tell, it all starts when Maeglinyedi makes a post about elitist archives.

Electriciandroid rants (and then pimps it for sympathy points). It is not well recieved by Gmth.

"The piece you wrote evoked a strong response because of the subject matter, not necessarily because you've "arrived" in the fandom. I'm not saying you haven't, mind; I don't keep that close an eye on what's going on with your fics. But getting three or four dozen comments on a fic (which is really all you ended up with, since the bulk of the remaining comments were discussions with those who left feedback) doesn't really mean much when the piece is as edgy as that one. It just means you managed to shock a bunch of us out of our usual porn daze."

Electriciandroid then proceeds to whine post in her personal journal about the incident, and recieves much ego-stroking.

"Okay - I am having an awful night, have been insulted and condescended too. About the feedback I receive and my status within the fandom. I can deal with the reality - I am not a BNF - nor do I wish to be one. However I cannot deal with flagrant insults both to me and my reviewers well. I've said what I have to say to the person concerned, and that is the end of my part in the discussion - flames and trolls on this topic will be ignored and deleted if I can."

And then Gmth posts in her personal journal.

"I hate it when people say "I'm drunk," or "I'm having a bad day," and that's supposed to excuse their temper tantrums.

I hate the fact that any time I have a strong opinion about something -- and dare to express it -- somehow or another I'm using my "BNF status" (and when exactly did that happen, anyway?) to look down on others and be insulting and condescending.

I *really* hate it when people who have no idea what actually happened automatically assume that the person on the other side of the argument is stupid, sad, an asshole, a bitch, or any other number of insults. Just remember, folks, chances are good that the person you are talking about is on *your* flist, too."

ETA Sorry about the icon, folks. It was a dumb thing to post, so I replaced it.

ETA2K Little_needle says (amongst other things): And so here I still stand; angry, tired, fed-up, ready to make a point and ready to point my ever-wanky finger and say to our ever-present and beloved Fandom Police. People are tired, waiting for it to end. Back the fuck off before too many people tire of you. Wank me, hurt me, ignore me -- laugh, even. Do what-ever the fuck you want. But back the fuck away from people who do not fucking deserve you and your little 'fists of rage'. Once upon a time you thought you smelled blood, and now I am the one who smells blood. I (and I'm sure many other's) will see it stop. You do not own fandom. You did not piss a circle around it. You will not control it. Back the fuck off and stay away.
3:27am: Quick! Before the FBI finds us!
Surprisingly close to April Fools' Day (and yet, not close enough), digisubbers Anime-Keep announce that they have been shut down by the FBI. In addition, anyone who used BitTorrent to download anime will be traced.

At AnimeSuki, this thread emerges as people debate how to reformat their hard-drives so They won't find all the illegal fansubs, most point and laugh at the obvious joke, and others threaten to never download another Anime-Keep release again OMG if this is just a practical joke.

Anime-Keep finally own up on their website:
(early) April Fools!

Though we must say we love you fans out there, nothing cheered us up more than seeing your crazy reactions to the early April Fools. I really feel sorry for thoses that did dig a hole for your CDs and format your hard drives, I wish you better luck next time!

ChibiDusk, one of the most terrified of the previous posters, now claims (s)he was bored and was just "being dramatical". Fun all round.
1:08pm: I'll try to be prefect like all of you next time.
After World Without Sundays played at the TORn Oscar party, they've been receiving a lot of attention from the lotrips gang, several of whom are interested in chatting with the band members on their official website's forum. Is this sounding like a bad idea yet?

Bunnie says: I can't believe that someone who is writing slash involving a WWS band member had the gall to actually post her LJ address on the band's forum. What was she thinking?

The Guilty Party replies: Well that fucking hurt.

So much for a person being able to make a mistake.

I forgot to friendslock the post. I wasn't trying to prove anything. And I wasn't being a moron. I was trying to make pasta and type at the same time and I missed friendslocking the entry.

I went back and fixed it.

So now you guys can leave me the hell alone. I'm not in the mood.

I was going to eat my homemade pasta. But now you've all ruined my appetite. Congratulations.

I'll try to be prefect like all of you next time.

Okay, so it's an ickle wank. *pets it*

P.S. I should go find the offending post on the WWS forum, but I value my eyesight. *squint*

[ETA: Oopsie. It's locked now. Bunnie probably hates me more now, but I couldn't help sharing the pasta-related wangst.]
5:46pm: Return of the Yaoi Wank
Seems F_W has gone far too long without yaoi wank. And looking at this little beauty makes me so, so glad I created Yaoi Rants.

Erm...as a former member of Antiyaoi and having witnessed a lot of the previous wank at that comm, part of me is agreeing with the poster. But I'm also laughing at her equally stupid generalizations and self-contradiction, and the wank factor of barging into a comm she knows she won't like and proceeding to tell them their opinion is wrong.

Lord, what fools these fangirls be...
