10:22am: Fandom Wank Soundtrack!
Fandom Wank needs a soundtrack. Something to listen to while we're all getting down and dirty in the comments and the splooging. I want you to send me the mp3s that you think are either awsome to listen to while on f_w, or really embody the message and personality of Fandom Wank.

It's just a few easy steps for you, then I'll post them all up here in a big playlist so everyone can snag them.

The Soundtrack also needs a title! Suggestions please.

Let's see, what else... a poem... yadda yadda. It's not much, but pseudo asceticism and careless use of Eastern philosophical concepts amuses the hell out of me.

[ETA: Recent developments! assadd_a_wuss deletes his or her journal for some reason. ::shrug:: Also, somebody posts a link at tws_support about how mad we are here. Then he/she deletes it. The same(?) person makes another whiny tws_support post basically claiming not to be add_a_wuss and complaining that he/she will have to delete his/her LJ. I don't know why. Someone posts a screencap of the first tws_support post, and people seem angry for some reason. That gets deleted. I don't know why.

I do know that crickets is thoughtful and saves the poem for posterity, hooray!]

Small wank as HPfen wank goes, but interesting while it lasted.

FBP joins the weekly Order of Reviewers thread and posts uber-critical-bordering-on-pretentious reviews.

Someone takes exception to the oozing condescension and ask him to tone down the "personal attacks".

Cue the wank.

FBP takes umbrage and refuses to apologize. He also lets us know that he will be posting no more reviews, "as he cherishes his First Amendment rights too much."

In wades Narcissa Malfoy, who charges him with personally attacking Tybalt-Quin. The bad metaphors abound.

The mods have stepped in but man, it was good while it lasted.

Not even Discovery Channel is safe from wank. I'm a rather big fan of Mythbusters, but I only lurk at the boards. I thought things might have been wank-free until I found this.

Nevermind that, as someone in the thread points out, the Corvette used in busting this particularly gross myth wasn't new by any means. But apparently because they sacrificed a rather dilapidated model of the poster's favorite car, the folks at Discovery Channel aren't smart people anymore.
