9:31am: White-wolf, how thy verdant shores hath produced much wankery
I don't know how many people know anything about Exalted, White-Wolf's second best selling RPG. Nor do I care. It amuses me, and that's all that really counts. For a brief backstory of Exalted, you can go here http://www.white-wolf.com/exalted/

So, anyhow... check this out. http://exalted.rpgcompendium.com/section.php?sec=5&article=37&var=8&location=thread&page=0&subpage=0&thread=7952

The thread essentially begins and ends with wankery. For those who don't know anything about Exalted, the topic rapidly shifts from the actual game to the definition of the word "manifest", to a discussion of the English language in general, including whether the word "first" or "firstly" is more appropriate in a given situation.

Very entertaining. Exalted Compendium in general is a very good spot for wanks, I've found (mostly why I go there), due to the loose moderation. Reminds me of Ex Libris Nocturnis in the good old days, before every curse word got bleeped and entire threads were shut down for being "unpleasant".

10:00am: [cries!] BUT HE DRAWS THE FUNNIES!!!!!
A year or so ago Lucas Phelps, writer/artist of the webcomic Skritch got pissed at his wife and intentionally(?) crashed his car, killing a pregnant mother. He plead guilty to the charge and has just now been sent to prison.

Of course his fans are sympathetic to "Poor Lucas". But it'll be okay. He's working on the webcomic in prison. How unprecedented!

Naturally, Randy Millholland, writer/artist of Something Positive thinks the sympathy is misplaced and says so.

David McG brings the spooge:

Well, he might feel really, really bad about killing someone.

"How does intentionally setting out to have a car wreck make the DEATH less of an accident?"

An anonymous guy disputes the facts. Randy shoots back saying he researched.

Well the press aren't always right!

It seems to have ended now, but sheesh... @_@

10:20am: More Comic Wank
My very first wank, so please use lube and/or be gentle...

LJ's Get Fuzzy feed, of course, brings the wank on a regular basis. Today's strip has Rob's cousin losing a leg in Iraq. Obviously, the strip jump-starts a steady stream of spooge.

Separated doesn't like serious comics.

Flashfire reminds Separated that not all strips have to be funny, and is promptly called a fascist.

Seems straight-foward enough, right? But no, Flashfire continues to post, starting arguments with every poster who voices anxiety or disagreement with the comic. Of especial beauty is the "First post!" wankery. :-)

Enjoy!

5:05pm: Ocean's Twelve Wank (and it isn't even filmed yet)
First wank ... yadda yadda ... be gentle ... etc etc.

I think this counts as a fandom wank (the fandom in question being the movie geeks over at Aint-It-Cool.com).

ED209 posts an update of how the Ocean's Twelve crew (George Clooney, Steven Soderburgh and Brad Pitt) are heading on over to Amsterdam for a four week shoot in the Dutch capital here. His news story includes a joke at the expense of the furore that Janet 'wardrobe malfunction' Jackson's boob popping provoked outrage in the "uptight" (his words, not mine) "United States of the World.

Cue spooge on the talk board, theoretically there for discussing the movie news nugget but actually turning out to be a board for discussion of National Socialism and whether Hitler was a liberal.

Highlights include:

- a discussion as to what Nazism really means from maradona,

- a comparison of 'new world' -v- 'old world' by vikingkitty, and

- judas's priest claiming that the proletariat don't need saving.

It's only a little wank, but I enjoyed it.
