1:17am: ~HIDEHIDE OMG
Oooo, that annoys me. I lost the original copy of this. OOOOOO.
Anyway, there's this j-rocker named Hide. Today (or actually, yesterday) is his death day. He committed suicide (intentionally or not is still up for debate) for reasons that people were never able to determine.
Aaaanyway, Hide communities and such are flooded with poetry, banners, and other such things.
Someone thinks all this is somewhat ridiculous and says so in no uncertain termsOf course, people get offended.
( For lazy people, sum-up of comments and OP )Anyway.
So someone's vagina hurts enough that they decide to post another post regarding
how much that picture made them cwy and get many (((HUGS))) in the comments for it.
( Basic jist and comments for the lazy amongst us! )Much fun was had by all! But perhaps I only found this so amusing because I have no heart.
--Edit--
It just keeps growing! Amazing!
( A mini Donnie Darko wank! )Anyway.
( I can't believe this thing is still going. Will this wank reach epic proportions? )Anyway, despite the exhortations to ignore this guy who just wants attention,
( people just can't stop giving it. )Will it continue? Only time will tell.

9:23am: First Post!
I noticed this morning's post on </a></b></a>
dilbert_feed had over 75 posts, which seemed a lot for a comic posting less than eight hours old.
It seems that the First Post phenomenon really pisses some people off.
9:36am: there are lesbians in Xena?
My first fandom doesn't generate much wank these days, but back in the day, big time.
In the
Xenites Community,
astraios wonders what the Season 5 DVD commentary will be like, because quite frankly that season was crap.
Ironically many people didn't like that season because the Xena and Gabrielle
maintext subtext was toned down considerably. But not according to
joffyi stopped watching the show when there was a real lesbian thing going on. i think that was that season tooOooh boy, even I know that's like putting the fox in with the chickens.
Early days and it may go nowhere but so far:
you are sos stupid to just assume i am a lesbian hater. i have really good friends who are lesbian and i have no problem with it at all--maybe even had lesbian thoughts myself at one time! I loved them even when I thought they were straight. I just related to them more after it was obvious they were an item. It's all a matter of perspective...I guess.
12:00pm: "Does this episode smell spoiled to you?" aka Fullmetal Alchemist spoiler wank
First time wank, so...etcetc. And, in the interest of saving my own behind (and to make this post all the more cute), there are spoilers for Fullmetal Alchemist in this, up to episode 30 and late issues of the manga.
There's been several
Fullmetal Alchemist communities spring up on LiveJournal since the show's first airing last year, including
fm_alchemist. It enjoyed a good, long time of little to no wank (besides a ridiculous incident where someone posing as the comm mod told all the yaoi fans to go "make their own community"). But, alas, all good things must come to an end.
crucifymylove has many, many theories about FMA. She also intensely believes each one to be true, and will get upset with anyone who 1) doesn't agree or 2) doesn't hang on her every breath and commit each to memory.
First she makes a
post to the community with gibberish as a subject line, and an lj-cut simply titled "Epi30 spoilers". It starts off innocently enough, until she
explodes into random consonents because someone dares to not remember what she said in a random thread whose location I have no clue about. An anon then politely asks (roundabout) for manga spoilers to be marked as such.
And it all gets crazy from there. It's worth noting that the show and the manga have actually diverged on some seriously large points by now, and that ends up boosting both sides of the argument. Still, it just seems like common courtesy that, if you diverge from the actual topic warned against, you make another warning.
Dunno if this is especially wank-worthy as annoying, but there you go. XD
5:36pm:
I'm not sure if other places have mentioned this yet, but on the LJ comm <http://www.livejournal.com/users/squaresoft_icon">Squaresoft_icon</a>,
Kasuino posts some Final Fantasy X-2 bashing, on the basis that it was nothing but a Charlie's Angel's knock-off and an excuse for Squaenix to make more money on Yuna & Rikku's boobs. Many people get very upset at someone knocking the only true Final Fantasy sequel, and because the community is about icons (though Kasuino's post is about making X-2 bashing icons) and some people actually liked the game. More people just seem vaguely amused and use it as an opportunity to wank.
Ensuing discussion about fanservice, Final Fantasy, icons, lots of ranting/bashing of various icon cliches, and plenty of mocking in various forms.
There are, hidden in there, some gems of sense, and I found Mahoutsukichan's & Hitokuse's mockery of the mocking amusing, but all-in-all it seems to be a lot of "OMG, how could you not like the game" and "It was a marketing ploy to make Yuna & Rikku into sluts & make more guys buy videogames (wtf?)"

7:19pm: Old, crusty bardwank from last year.
This is not, strictly speaking, my first wank - I poked redpanda to post the first P@L diatribe about FW, but it's the first I'm posting on my own, and is not quite as epic or interesting, I'm afraid. For one thing, it's not well-paced in the beginning, and the wank is spread thinly across many pages.
A little background: Blind Guardian (aka 'the Bards') is a German metal band that has been increasingly innovative with its music. The band's most recent studio album was 'A Night at the Opera'. "jp20" disapproved of it, and started a thread called
ANATO sux apreciation thread!Yeah, it's not that coherent in places. All incoherency as written.
( it's revoltingly jolly, has no menace... )Disclaimer: I like Blind Guardian. I also like Night at the Opera, though it took a little while to grow on me. Fourteen minute songs about the fall of Troy are nifty.
Bonus if you've made it this far - a quote from another thread: "Ahhhhh... people are fagging up the thread with human-elf sex talk! Shampoo, not elfsex!"
