6:21am: Not a wank, but....
My husband (whom I torture with tidbits from this page) just mentioned that he saw someone at Anime Central with a shirt that said MY HED IS PASTEDE ON YAY on it.

"Oh my god, you're on FandomWank."
"Yep."
"That Crystal Wank was a thing of beauty."
"Yes it was."

Okay, what refugee of the Crystalwank did that? Stand forth and be counted! (alas that I was so bogged down by staffly duties that I didn't get see you and at least say hi!)

11:24am: Man, and the movie hasn't even been out for a week . . .
Hee hee! More IMDB!wank! This time it's over a supporting-actor-almost-extra in Troy, Garrett Hedlund. The board starts off innocently enough, with a thread over someone who remembers him from high school, how sweet. Then there's a small wank over the lack of homosexuality in the movie that leads to a greek history lesson. Then the fangirls start with "OMG! He so liek totly needs a fanclub!" and "I just started a fanpage! This is so cool!". Then a thread that starts with "OMG, he is so cute! I think Brad and Garrett are brothers!" to "I heard they were lovers!" which ends in a rant by hardcorezack on how totally stupid that is. Then comes the hardcore wank.

( But, of course, no one can really tell what's going on anyway . . . )

2:54pm: Had it coming for a while now...
Never let it be said that Weiß fans can't wank it and wank it hard, mostly aiming at each other.

Along those lines, there's a little-known RP out in LJ-land called weiss_diaries that a couple of my friends hang out in.

Witness A-Cen's recent falling out between game mod and random players:

Mod reports certain players removed for reports of being irritating and/or insane. Never mind the fact that they both quit some two hours before she got around to kicking them out. Oh, well.

The game's Omi (who just happens to be one of the deleted's girlfriend) goes to set the record straight before quitting. (this also appeared on the game's OOC board and was later bah-leted for reasons and by persons unknown) (BTW, shoiryu, there's the RP journal, if you've not felt the pain yet)

Said certain player (whom we all know and love, as well as her fourty bajillion anono-friends) gives us her reaction. Look out for spelling that's wayyyy too large and in BOLD PRINT. Wheee! Also, friends drop by to give ((hugs)).

From what I'm to understand, this all started because the mod tried to talk the Omi out of dating the person with really big caps lock, or something some such. And somehow, through a mysterious third party (whom they were all crashing with for A-Cen, apparently), caps lock girl found out, as well as her other deleted/up-and-quit friend.

Fairly amusing, if you like watching catfights. (Catfights, in Weiß Kreuz? Oh, I kill me with teh funneh!)

3:35pm: Diana Hignutt
Remember Diana Hignutt? If you don't, she was wanked quite awhile ago for being upset at a bad review on Amazon. Then, it became Publish America wank(always a fun wank). I'd fish for the links, but I'm too lazy to look.

Well, just today, I saw her on Montel Williams. It said that she was the author of "Empress of the Clouds" (got some advertising there). Basically, it was all about her life before getting her sex change and how she was unhappy about being a man. Her wife wasn't too pleased at first, but stayed with her, and they're still together. I know that's not really wanky, but I posted it here since some of you might have seen it too and remember her.

You know, I thought that Diana looks better now than she did as a man. Heh.

10:46pm: not sure sports is fandom, but anyway...
I am a basketball fan and am looking forward to Game 7 between the Minnesota Timberwolves and the Sacramento Kings to see who will advance to the next round to play the Los Angeles Lakers.

The T-Wolves/Kings (liek omg now i think uv teh slash) game is going to be an important one. Minnesota player Kevin Garnett, the league's MVP, made the following comment regarding getting psyched up for the game:

"I'm sitting in the house loading up the pump, I'm loading up the Uzis, I've got a couple of M-16's, couple of nines, couple of joints with some silencers on them, couple of grenades, got a missile launcher. I'm ready for war."

People were offended by the war analogy and Garnett later apologized.

Some people think Garnett didn't owe an apology. And damn, some people over at the ESPN message boards are wanky about it. Plus, we go zero to Iraq in just a few sentences.

To summarize: I am so sick and tired of people talking about [Kevin Garnett] and his war remarks. Why are we in Iraq? Trent Lott a racist politician has made it clear that he is in fact a racist and the president George Bush has supported him. And [Kevin Garnett] I feel where you are coming from.

...

Yeah.

11:48pm: Heading down to the Park...
So evidently Linkin Park will do an anime-style video and manga to their song "Breaking the Habit"

Wank Ensues, including obligitory Pokémon bashing, 'gay'-as-an-insult (and wank over that), and recurrent wank over something called Kid's Story.

Oh, and did I mention the side wank about the originality of modern music?

And it's just not anime wank without an required Gainax reference.
