Ahhhh, the johnxjohn community. You had wank potential from day one.

But it's totally gotten out of control tonight.

First, the mod changes the user info to have a big huge THIS IS JUST PARODY message. Then, she makes a dramatic OMG I QUIT post, which is where the fun really kicks in. The use of proper capitalization is bickered over. The name of MsAllegra is invoked. And the mod proclaims that not only will her creation of the comm haunt her until her dying day, but SLASH IS EMBARASSING, then refines that to FANFIC IS EMBARASSING.

And now, there's a brand spankin' new community for people who want to enjoy the Kerry/Edwards slashiness minus the slash! And they'll moderate out the slash for you and everything!

*sits back, eats popcorn, watches, waits for more*

11:09am: My first wank ever. It's a growth experience.

This is just a quick follow-up on the weekend's R/Hr shipper wank. prettyveela takes it to her own journal, where she wonders: Is Canon a dirty word in HP fandom?. It veers into wankiness pretty much from the beginning and ends with the bold exhortation (and I say bold, because, really, it's bold): If it applies to you, remain offended.

Right. Good to have your hostility out there in front.

2:48pm: LJ Cut drama
Newbie posts a very long Mary Sue report. No, she doesn't use the LJ cut tag. People are displeased and say so. She gets snotty.

Stinger:

"I'm "in the wrong"? *slaps her forehead* Am I wrong for defending myself, and saying that I'll use the lj cut next time? And being as calm as possible? At least I'm not one of those people that go: "OMG1!!!1 YOUR SOOO MAEN!!!11one!! WAHT DID I DO 2 DESRVE TIHS?!!11" *sigh* "

Oh, but she's not actually a newbie. She was in the community since winter, but wasn't active or something.
