12:26am: BDSM + RPS + RPG = wank
So there's this RPS RPG on GreatestJournal called Valimar. All you need to know about it is that it's an AU where people get sold into slavery if they don't toe the line. It's a self-confessed angst machine: the evil masters torment the slaves so that the slaves can angst.

Today one mun posted two (guaranteed to cause wank) rants on their OOC community.

Rant #1: the mun is troubled by non-players reading the RPG. ( It squicks her. )

Rant #2: shipping is evil. ( And it ruins RPGs. )

And like a good little wanka, I have saved the pages in case the mods lock down or delete the threads.

Just thought I'd point out that an amazing mushroom-patch of wank is sprouting up on the LOTR thread over at Fanfic Hate.

It started with an anonymouse making a little bitchery about "scholarly" essays that purport to define elf sex. Then another mouse comments flippantly about the Mithril Award the scholar has won, and the proverbial shit hits the fan.

Just mention anything related to the Mithrils, and the sycophants, detractors, random snarkers, and generally confused come out of the woodwork. There are even snacks!


To quote Miracle Max: *smacks lips* It's so perky. I love that!

7:21am: "Unpopular Fannish Opinions"
Jenny O has 10 unpopular fannish opinions that are apparently an ulterior motive to smack Elektra around about her Draco/Narcissa fiction. Friends shouldn't flame friends, and Jenny O only did it because she's a BNF, according to Girlflesh, who risks her very life talking contrariwise to Jenny O. Meanwhile, Pandarus addresses the actual issues, discovering only at the last that she stepped in wank totally by accident.

6:37pm: You're lame, I'm lame, we're all lame.
Everyone on bad_rpers_suck is LAME according to xregretxnothing, who has wasted her time explaining how we're all wasting our time.

To summarize, it's not cool to bitch and complain. But it is cool to bitch and complain about others bitching and complaining, especially if those people bitched and complained about your rp.

Edit: This was all caused by pretty_fish complaining about xregretxnothing's RP: 1, 2, 3. To sum up, the mods are batshit insane attention-whoring control freaks with one set of standards for people in their clique and another for the people out of it - at least according to pretty_fish.
