Over on 
scans_daily, someone posts a bunch of scans in which Tim Drake (the third Robin) is very very pretty. (Warning: Includes several crotch shots.) People comment on the pretty, people try to figure out the Robin(s) time line, people comment on the pretty some more, and a good time is generally had by all.
That is, until 
scarfe gets her/his knickers in one hell of a twist because ... actually, I'm still trying to figure out why exactly. Presumably, because people are lusting over "a fictional character with comparatively little set visual look and personality [...] and is nothing but an idea and some pencils and ink?"
General wankery ensues.

here, we have the inevitable "boiz r so meen!" rallying cry. Meet
Ms. liviapenn, who has just about had it with those
awful XY-chromosomed sort over at scans_daily. She suggests kicking all the boys out, or forming a new "militant_lesbian_separatist_scans_daily"
-- she doesn't seem to be completely clear on which -- to protect her right not to be called black by a kettle. Or something. Apparently, according to the header of the entry, a poster over at scans_daily managed to finally force her into teh_gay. And it just degenerates from there. Almost a hundred replies and counting.
( Choice bits... )It's not entirely clear to me whether boys are
silencing them or making them have to be articulate.

Over on the Funimation Forums, Black Rose
posts a story. It's a YYH story, and I can't comment on that, but she apparently borrowed names from Inu Yasha. It's not a very good story in any event, but everyone in the forum fanboys and fangirls over the story (I hate to see what the usual quality of work is over there.)
The wank begins on
page 2 when user De Yaten (as I gather, our anonymouse) suggests that maybe Black Rose could come up with some original names.
Lots of people flame him/her. It involves lots of capitol letters, h1 tags, exclamation points, and misspellings. And, for some reason, the word "fool" is the insult of the day.
At one point, De Yaten says, rather tongue in cheek, that she/he is going to go kill puppies, insinuating that everyone is overreacting and that she/he was really not that mean. Someone takes the comment too seriously:
I"LL SHOW YOU A BABY KITTIE, YOU LITTLE SICK SOB!!!!!!!!Black Rose eventually tells everyone to cool it.
Some people apologize. Others pretend to, but sound rather passive agressive:
Yeah, you are right as usual Nekojin.... you are even wiser than I myself am, sorry for getting carried away... I feel giulty now... even though she challelnged be it was unpresidented for me to act in the manner that I have. Sorry black rose.I'm not sure what the president has to do with anything. ^_~
