3:30am: The "my luv 4 keita TT________TT" Wankage
A mini-wank, but an entertaining one nonetheless: Little girl dumps her boyfriend for a Japanese popstar and then posts about it in a community dedicated to said popstar's music group. Wankage follows.

The wanker's LJ userinfo looks highly suspicious, but the fandom gets credit for being able to make fun of itself as this LJ account was created for mocking purposes.

7:50am: My first wank, so please be kind.

It all started innocently enough: On the IMDb.com Strangers With Candy message board, a poster named MinervaMadness asks the question, “Will Jellineck and Noblet make out?” For those of you who aren’t familiar with the show, Jellineck and Noblet are two closet homosexual teachers that are two of the main characters of the show.

Everything is civil at first. People show their hope for such a scene, even pointing out that the two actors who play the characters, Paul Dinello and Stephen Colbert,even made out once in their old sketch comedy show Exit 57.

Then the wank begins.

Out of no where, the user onerzvrdog pops in with his take on SwC’s pair: “The whole funny part of the show is that homosexuality is constantly shown for what it is: a deviant behavior.”

An outcry of anger begins instantly. MinervaMadness strikes back: “You are a fool. You should be shot.”

Onerzvrdog doesn’t stand down, making his first Left-hating statement of the wank: “You are a very closed-minded person like the majority of the people on the Left.” and even somehow manages to throw in a ‘People like you put Hitler into power!’ comment for good measure.

Comalley-1 takes offense to the statement, arguing against his Hitler statement and ending his post with the mention of SwC being a parody of social issues.

Onerzvrdog responds with a generalized statement: “The fact remains. The people of the United States have overwhelmingly stated that homosexuality is not the norm.” and gleemonex_957 points out what a great right-wing talk show host he’d be.

Bickering continues until iheartchekhov pops in with more good points: “Your views regarding the depiction of homosexuality in SWC are interesting considering that a huge portion of the show's most ardent fans are gay men.” and also mentions how Amy Sedaris’ (who plays the main character Jerri Blank and also co-made the show) brother David Sedaris, is an out gay. Again there is mention of the show being a parody of social issues, opting to list a few episodes where they poked fun of so-called Right-wing beliefs.

More Left-wing bashing continues from our homosexual-hating buddy: “A lot of leftist hatred on this thread. But that is where the Left draws it's life blood.”. He makes mention that SwC also makes fun of the left-wing as a way to go after iheartchekhov’s point. (This man still apparently does not see the point of the show which is to make fun of all social issues regardless of government affiliation, but I will keep my opinion out of this mess. –grins-)

Finally, MinervaMadness pops in again in an attempt to stop the madness with the best line of this entire thread: “Hey, HEY! If I had wanted a homo/Nazi/Ann Coulter debate, I would have gone to the homos, Nazis, and Ann Coulter Duke it Out message board! This is about hot, steamy man make-outs!”

All and all, a small wank. However, it makes me sad that not even Strangers with Candy can stay away from this crap. My small, obscure show-loving heart weeps.

9:54am: NC-17 gets you a C&D
likebunnies gets a C&D letter from the MPAA due to her use of "NC-17" as ratings for fanfic.

heidi8 debates the issue and points out that MPAA doesn't have much of a leg to stand on.

New ratings systems are proposed.

Someone on likebunnies's LJ points out that it may be a prank.

12:14pm: The Matrix fandom, it wanks kung-fu style
My very first wank, from a fandom that wanks beautifully, but seems to fly under the radar most of the time.

I'm not in the fandom, but I used to be, and it's really a shame that it isn't featured on here more often. There are site wars, and religious posturing, "I am prettier/smarter/better-hung than you because I have read Wittgenstein" and other such inanity.

This wank is tricksy; the site where it takes place is The Matrix Community (TMC), but the wank sprawls across their forum, their wiki, and even LJ. It's a sampler, I suppose, of just how wanky the Matrix fandom can be.

Props to adora_spintriae -- we were having an LJ discussion in which the subject of Matrix wank came up, and that was what prompted me to chronicle this in the first place.
