10:42am: Narutofandom and kids with too much time on their hands...
Narutofan.com is probably the Big Cock of the online Naruto fandom. Narutofan is run by a fellow who goes by the name of Tazmo. All pretty simple, eh?

Tazmo, apparently, is also a "(Wife Beater)" (note the brackets and capitals), server fraud, donation thief, oh, and a pussy/jerk/domain buyer/baby-eating antichrist as well, according to "Kevin Shiel" of StopTazmo.com. There's no proof of this of course, except what "Shiel" says. What a surprise. Though there's a few unimportant legal bits in there as well (uh huh...).

The site StopTazmo.com has it's own subforum donated to bashing/posting stories about Tazmo's baby-eating horrible acts, where sad obsessed stalkers forum members ponder on events in Tazmo's life such as nosebleeds in winter and the legality of the donations to the Narutofan.com site.

I personally like the "One Server, Many Names = Psychotic server owner" theory myself. Oh, and the "Everytime you donate to Narutofan.com, god kills a kitten" one. The subforum is hours of fun, just for golden moments like these.

Anyway, we all know this isn't a full-blown wank until kiddie-porn is involved, which it is. However, nothing is reported to the feds. Yeah, that's a bit... odd.

Meanwhile, over on the other side of the fence, I present you all with StopKane.info. This is Tazmo's Revenge, or something. Kane a.k.a StopTazmo's "Kevin Shiel" a.k.a Derek "Little" Tittle a.k.a some other shit... attacks websites as well as teh infamous Tazmo, and is well known to various webhost users. And is being sued.

You'd think that'd be the end of it? Heh, yeah, right.

Continuing on the Webhosting Talk thread, the kid is trying to frame someone called "Arslan". Or is he? Or is it someone else? I dunno, but Stop-Arslan.info reads like it was written by Kane or one of his fellow English-for-living classmates.

In the end, of course, there's only one thing that can be said about all of this...

"who cares about his lifestyle. He could eat babies for all i care as long as he provides naruto goods."

Damn straight, skippy.

Edited to remove some wrong information.

10:49am: GAFF Wank - now complete with Quotes and Sigs and ALL!
Black Pearl asks: Is it okay to give the authors sporked in GAFF a link to the entries where their stories are laughed at?

"Of course", some say. "No!", others argue and bitch. And in between splooge flows...

Some of the jewels quoted in the whole thing...

Inglvid says he's tempted, but doesn't do it. 'Til here, it's reasonable )

***

Thanos 6: Yes. I'd do it if I could. Because those authors are STUPID )

***

Abatha: Nope. I don't want to hear the whining )

***

Cyberwulf states his/her opinions. Things are starting to get a little rougher )

***

Catseye says... )

***

Allow me to disagree, Thanos6... The wank is BUILDING! )

***

Wank can't be complete without the Schadenfreude, some say )

They cause us pain with their fics. It's time for REVENGE by mocking their pathetic fics! (And we'll be F_W too, but who cares) )

A Guest arrives. Majin Gojira greets him/her Not So Politely. And NOW the Wank has Started! )

and it pretty much goes downhill from here.

3:09pm: "I already had the perfect couple. It was Spike and Angel."
Ah, Angel fandom. It was my first. This is the fandom in which the term for homosexual subtext, HoYay!, was coined. The Angel Season 5 DVDs came out (*cough*) recently with several bells and whistles, including commentaries from none other than the man himself, Joss Whedon, creator of Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel. In two separate commentaries, Joss made remarks about the relationship between male vampires Angel and Spike.
"Spike and Angel; they were hanging out for years and years and years. They were all kinds of deviant. Are people thinking they never...? Come on, people! They're opened-minded guys!"

"I already had the perfect couple. It was Spike and Angel."
There was a lot of SQUEE SQUEE OMG SQUEE OMG Joss totally said Spike and Angel did it/are doing it OMGBBQELEVENTY! However, these comments soon prompted discussions about how Joss "did not have the guts" to make Angel and Spike an openly gay couple, he's only doing it for "queer cred," and that nothing is more important than authorial intent.

Note: There are tons of comments to read through for this, so I only linked the main entries. Otherwise this would take up the entire front page. Happy wading!

Kindkit isn't squeeing over Joss's comments.
I'd say that Joss, in the Buffyverse, was only partly challenging the prejudices of American society. )
Swmbo thinks those who were offended by Joss' comments and/or lack of follow-through need "a reality check."
And trying to claim that by making this statement Joss was trying to get some sort of credit he didn't 'earn' is missing the entire point of the show. )
Swmbo thoughtfully provides more links at the end of the entry. Kita0610, who has "a couple of grad degrees, one in Psych, so I can wank with the best of them," poses the following:
How can someone NOT consider authorial intent as inherently more valid an interpretation of the text than anyone else's? )
Several posters whip out their academic creds in an organ-measuring context. Sadly, that organ is not the penis. Kita0610's follow-up post says, "In painting, poetry, and film studies, creator intent is dissected, bissected and held up as gospel in order to interpret the finished product. Context is everything. If that's the case, I really do think that applying literary criticism as the standard for judging Jossian 'text' is - well, misplaced at best, and kind of silly at worst." More discussion follows.

And, for the finale, tedious Sarah T. weighs in as well.
So when I hear about men being the only real suitable peers for each other, as opposed to *girls*, I get twitchy. )
Also, she's still harping on the "elder stateswoman" thing, three years later. Yawn. Talk about land-speed record for stupid.

Thanks to [info]embitca who gave me the heads-up and sent me several of the links. Also, thanks to [info]doyle for providing a link to the commentary itself.

ETA to add two more links (thanks, Anonymous!). paratti muses about author intent as well as Joss choosing the word deviant.
Though I'm gobsmacked anyone didn't think that all of the Fanged Four hadn't shagged each other like weasels at some point or other. )
And wisdomeagle points out that Joss "talks about sexuality all the time. He talks about homosexuality all the time."
See, I think that Joss's interpretation (and now we're not talking about the facts so much anymore) is more valuable than other interpretations, but not necessarily more valid. )

5:54pm: The Sims 2 is a fandom, isn't it?
Over at [info]sims2_junkies, [info]urban_duck posts 2 of her Sims stories.

[info]ari_ suggests some formatting to make it readable, only to be told by [info]urban_duck that she doesn't care what people think. "PLus it better then most of ur boring sims lifes"

[info]urban_duck flares up and spams the community with her rage.

Other members react, while [info]pinkneptune03 is on her everyone's sides.

The wank is small, but repetitive and growing.

EDIT: Family issues prop up! [info]urban_duck's userinfo mentions that she is her sister's primary caretaker, which leads to:

[info]auntiesiannan : Go take care of your sister, you illiterate skank.
[info]urban_duck : WHAT GOT YOU THE RIGHT TO BRING MY FAMILY IN TO THIS U MAD PRSON

EDIT PART DUA: Bahleeted, but [info]ari_ has COPIES!

6:38pm: It's a slow day...

This wank is a couple days old now. But one of those annualmonthlyweeklydailyoh, hell. *checks watch* Someone is probably having this argument about slash every minute of every day somewhere in the world of fandom.

Over on the Sages of Chaos community on LJ Victor Von Doom makes one of those "Oh noes, there's the slash on the intarwebs! Burn the witches, for they are heretics!" posts into the comm, which is promptly deleted. He then goes back to his journal and announces he's leaving. But no need to start a flame war people, sheesh.

If a fake troll trolls from under a fake bridge, is it a troll or just clever performance art? Do we care? Apparently yes, yes we do.
