2:11pm: Mini Potter Wank
So there are two well-known comms for het and slash smut - Erotic Elves and Pornish Pixies. Both are invite only as the mods want to be able to filter who posts in their comms. Makes sense, right? After all, if you are trying to be an archive for 'quality' het or slash smut, you don't want Joe or Jane Anybody waltzing in there and posting something full of typos, icky SPaG, and spotty punctuation.

For the most part, if people want to try and get an invite, the best thing to do is advertise your works in a small number of popular communities where the comm mods may see your work.

Sometimes that works and sometimes it doesn't. And if it doesn't, the thing to do is bitch about the elitisim or moan about how you'll never get in to your friends in private-locked LJ posts, IMing, whatever. Wanking in public about how elitist a community is and how you'll never get in is not really the smartest thing to do if you actually do want to get in.

But try telling that to Miss Cassius, who went and created her own community for people who haven't been able to get into EE or PP yet. The comm is hp_itouchmyself, named after one of the shittiest songs in existence. Oh, and the userinfo is just a tad wanky. Just a tad. And so were some of the advertisements for the community.

5:18pm: I'm not sure if this qualifies as wank, but it certainly fits in under "mock the stupid wanker".

I'm sure everyone remembers crystalgamgee and the infamous crystalwank, in which she was discovered to be putting photos through Photoshop, then claiming they were her original artworks and trying to sell them.

She's still filling the LotR RPS fandom with the batshit. sweetpea_grubb posts some rather well-done Dom/Billy sketches [not work-safe.]

If she's just boasting about selling her work on Ebay - well, that's the usual Crystal claptrap and trumpet-blowing. She does see herself as an artiste.

But if some poor sap truly did buy a "print" of one of her "drawings"...*headdesk*

ETA:sweetpea_grubb adds wank in the comments of the entry. Apparently, she knows Dom and Billy personally [where have we heard this before?], which will unfortunately prevent her from making a lot of money from a Monaboyd porn colouring-in book. But not from drawing them screwing, or anything.

Wow. Really? Unfortunately I would have to get the written permission of the people who I am portraying in my pictures, lol. And even though I have contacts with both of them and am even friends with Dom,.... I don't think that would go down too well. Actually, the fact that I know them makes it even worse. -_- And my relationship with them is supposed to be professional so... you can see how that wouldn't be so great. :-X Still, I guess as long as I don't mention their names I wouldn't get in trouble. Hehe... *ponders this*

My First Wank. Rather small. But it's not the size, is it? Anyway, someone posted a lyrics and picture... thing... on a LotR actor community bemoaning The End of Orli And Viggo's Tru Love OMG. As it should be, said post has a few "wow, are you seriously that crazy?" posts, as well as the requisite "OMG you guys r meen!11!!" thread. The OP is clearly above responding to the meenieheads, which is why this is only a miniwank.

Why must people make my fandom look crazier than it already is?
